  1. Very bold move by the Somerset promotion, Vissing a very good and fast rider, but does come off the bike very often and seems to spend lots of time on the injury list. As for Sam Masters Sheffield have a spot in their team that would suit him fine.
  2. I think a lot will depend on what gate positions. If Josh gets two gate four positions twice then I think he will struggle to make the semi's.
  3. Hats off to the Glasgow Promotion, and lets hope it is a success. Proves even though the present Promotion is looking to sell the club on they are still committed to the club.
  4. I think you will find the Olly Allen is out injured with a broken arm, and likely to be out for the rest of the season.
  5. Well Done Scunthorpe on another victory over, and I am sure that they walk it into the Play Offs. Poor season for us at Sheffield, but at least after all the big talking on what Scunthorpe were going to do to us we still got the better of the 4 head to head meetings this season. Points Taken from League and Trophy matches Scunthorpe 6 Sheffield 7 Race points from League and Trophy matches Scunthorpe 177 Sheffield 179 I suppose if you are going to have a poor season at least amke sure you get the better of your local rivals. .
  6. Have I missed something here, what I saw was Tai receive his trophy and point to it and then give the thumbs sign down, did not see him mouth any words at all. To me what he was signalling was he finished third which thought was rubbish. The lad was saying all night that he was unhappy with his performance and was trying to improve on his performance all night. I really do wish people would get off the lads back, okay he might be a sore loser, but he is probably like myself fed up with this country been losers and wants badly to be a winner.
  7. On the subject of Berwick fans celebrating and how they celebrate. What do people want them to do just clap and cheer not to loud, and not enjoy themselves. I have spent sometime with the Berwick fans, and yes they are loud and personally most of the time I struggle understand what they are saying, but they good fun and good company. Lets face it, its only 2 or 3 years ago they were on the brink of having no team to support never mind dream about winning a trophy, so is any wonder that they celebrated good and hard. .
  8. What a difference a day makes. Congratulations to all Bandits riders, fans and Promotion.
  9. You could have the Fours meeting that would include every team in the league. Seed last years winner directly to the Final i.e. Ipswich. The split the other 12 teams into 3 groups of 4 with winners of each group qualifying for the Final.
  10. Does seem to be a strange decision and very uncharacteristic of Neil Machin, he is usually spot on when cancelling meetings, earlier forecast suggested that we were going to get heavy rain around tea time, but lat the forecast seem to suggest that the we were going to miss the rain. I do wonder whether there was pressure from others quarters after riders risked the chance of missing important meetings for their clubs riding the semi-finals. . I reckon that if that meeting had been the only meeting running and I think that British Semi Finals there should be no other meetings running to avoid teams losing riders to the Semi Final. I honestly believe that meeting would have run.
  11. Probably not a bad call, Sheffield now have a massive fixture backlog.
  12. Wil be interesting to see what happens with the weather from now until 10pm tonight.
  13. Bad News for the Promotion the threatening clouds passed over with very little rain.
  14. To be fair to Neil Machin he is usually spot on when he calls a meeting early, and is usually very good at getting meetings no when others have given up. I live 20 minutes walk away from the stadium and its just started to rain a little bit and the sky looks as though it is going to chuck it down.
  15. I don't necessarily buy into having Qualifiers. With the unpredictable British weather we are seeing some clubs every year struggling to fulfil there fixtures and I can see adding what is a one of type fixture further complicate things. But do think that to maximise interest in Finals you need to have as many teams competing as possible, and those on their current form. So why not have the top 12 out of the 13 teams competing on the day, Pick the 12 teams with best combined averages from this season not rolling averages. Split them into 3 groups of 4. Each rider from each team has 2 rides each. The winners from each group goes through to the Final. The 3 team that finish 2nd in their group each nominate a rider to ride in a run off to winner gets their team through to the Final. Then the 4 teams then compete the Final where each rider takes two rides. For me that means that you don't have a potential fixture problem, more clubs racing in the event means more fans will travel to event and more money made..
  16. My guess is that you will be going. I don't think that you been given any option.
  17. What is Glynn Taylor's record as a Team Manager, and has he ever been a Team Manager? As far as I am aware his expertise is as a Track Curator. For me the appointment seems very strange, sacked from one job to be re employed doing another job.
  18. Looks like I am going to be busy tonight, watching Gorzow v The Mighty Falubaz, while checking on the updates from the Newcastle v Sheffield meeting. Come on Falubaz and the Tigers.
  19. Not a bad meeting from the Bydgoszcz, and Tarnow meeting but I did feel that Tarnow made heavy work of it.
  20. Great I am working this Sunday so that gives me plenty of time to get back for the match. Thursday could be tricky, but hopefully I can get back from work early to watch that one before I go for the Sheffield home match (weather permitting) And then two matches for the Sunday. Starting to feel better already.
