The club have tweeted that another deal is being worked on, my guess (and it's only that) is that it'll be a foreign rider who's not been in the UK before. A young Dane/, Swede or Pole. Personally I'd love it to be Patrick Hansen, was in Gdansk for the world U21 final this year, the kid has some serious ability at 18....

Unless you are Rosco or part of Swindon's promotion then how do you know Nielsen will be in? Before the signing of Ellis I would have agreed but now that's happened I can see a low averaged brit at reserve as the 2nd Brit required.
-
Ellis rode mainly last season at 2, held his own. He's only going one way & that's up. In a water down league I have no issue with the signing. It says it all when Woffy recommends you to a polish club & you get signed up.

Some should worry about their own sides before criticising others 😁

Adam Ellis How much?
-
Also given free tickets to schools.

In fairness Swindon for the past few months have been a various events around the town, been into the local college etc. The new promotions are trying to push it in the town!

Swindon will be a decent side together, I think too much is being made of Doyley average. It is what it is. 37 points left for 6 spaces, rosco has said today he's riders signed that will up averages. klindt would be a good one for that, 5.52....plenty of room to improve.
-
In a watered down league Morris will be in IMO, he still miles betters than most. People forget he rode all season as a heat leader, no easy rides like some have had. The rumours can all end now BREAKING | After recent speculation we can confirm @Jasondoyle43 WILL be leading us into the 2017 season on a 13.41 average.
-
It appears we've made progress with team building, announcements due when the ink is dry on the contract.
-
Milik has signed in Poland (extraliga), Sweden & his home league, can't do the UK now as the Polish Extraliga won't allow it.
-
I'm a Swindon Fan & I think it should have been higher!!!! 55 may have suited all with the conversion
-
Unsurprisingly swindon wanted a higher points limit.
-
I have it clear in my head now, the conversion of average x 1.4 allows for team bullring, after the first set of averages a rider will then get a "true" average. This applies to both league. The new (old) race format should help
-
How can a rider have a 13.41 average when the max over 4 rides is 12........The 5th ride is never included when an average is calculated.
-
It increased by 1.4, not x 1.4. For example Doyley will now be 10.98 from 9.58. If it was x's he'd be 13.41, the averages are only calculated on 4 rides......i.e max of 12.
-
Doyley signed a new 2 year deal with the Robins for 2017 & 2018.
-
isn't it +1.4, not x 1.4.

Rosco has said in our local paper that more teams maybe on the EL next year, wants the KO cup back & said maybe two race nights is feasible, no mention of not having the top riders. I genuinely can't see how you can bin that. Weakens the product down further. -

Surely the max average they can have is 12 as all riders only attain an average based on 4 rides per meeting -

If the top riders who are committed to Britain aren't allowed to ride then for me that's speedway done in the country. No point in having an "Elite league" which would basically be a British league. I'll be surprised it promotions like Poole, Swindon, Wolves vote this in. -

In fairness to Doyle his average is a true average as he was beating number 1, 3 & 5's. I don't see why it should be altered. Although I did hear a 50 point team building due to the reserves having ridiculous averages. As NKI tweeted, silly season is well & truly amongst us. The only way I can see us going forward is a grading system & the old race format. Allow the riders to gain 'True averages'', keep these unpublished for the season & then confirm at the end of the year, This may allow for the correct average for a rider. -

Doyle will be able to ride in the UK & has already signed a 2 yr deal with Swindon. His home league will be the UK I believe, other two Poland & Sweden.
