Can you even use R/R - I didn't think it was allowed until the league season got started? I'm not sure the EL trophy would count. I could be wrong.

Yet again the "flagship club" of British speedway makes a joke of itself. The riders said on Wednesday they couldn't take to the track as it was bad. Two days later with riders from across the globe it's the same. And people wonder why British speedway isn't taken seriously. Absolute shambles! Wow! Poole has always been a bad track. When your riders state this you need to listen. Isn't the first time & wont be the last. Take those blue tinted glasses off for a moment.

I have a lot of sympathy for the riders signed by Coventry, how the riders found out by social media is excusable. The owners have to take responsibility for this. Why they've been string along is beyond me. I also have sympathy for the fans. Again led up the garden path. Am I surprised this has happened, no....am I'm surprised by the timing.....yes. Is the BSPA to be blamed for this.....no. I hope that Cov can return from this in 2018.

I have no idea what you are on about & I'm a Town fan. I did a quick search & he was meant to be involved in 2007. I've drank too much since then to even recall his involvement.
-
Why have you included Swindon, the club is in a good state financially, the promotion are promoting the club well now, The stadium can't be knocked down until the new one arrives, Seems an odd comment to me.

I would imagine it's to allow construction work to continue, they did indicate that we would have fixtures later in the season. I for one think it's good have the majority of matches throughout the actual summer months. Warmer weather may encourage more fans. They've also picked the two derbies at home on bank holiday's, not a bad move I don't think.
-
So we have the majority of our home fixtures within July & August, assume this is to allow for the move (I hope). Nicer weather as well......
-
So Horton has been stringing everyone along then, the statement from the landlords is damming to Coventry's future unfortunately. Once again the fans, riders have been shafted.
-
What a sad state of affairs, feel for the fans & riders who are out of a job. Some may not have other clubs. I'm only basing this on K. Bjerre's response to a tweet....

Aren't you a Pboro fan anyway? Confusing yourself

Tungate was going well for Swindon in the 2nd half of the season as either a 2nd string or heat-leader, only had a month at reserve from memory. In this watered down league he'll do fine, may not win heat 1 against the likes of KK, Doyle, King but think he'll be okay.

It was suggested last night that all foreign riders would be a 7........
-
Where to start.......Averages x 1.4 for team building meaning some riders can't attain that average, a 50 point limit based on that, premier league averages used from last year, young forgeiners on a 7, I believe it was said last night that this could apply to all foreigners, shall I go on....... 3 clubs were financially strickened this year, I dread to think what next year's league will do to teams!!!!
-
It's a joke in all honesty, the BSPA & their new rules. I believe Swindon voted against them all as we could see a cheaper, watered down product. Basically it's 2 x premier leagues, jokers!!! I can see Swindon's 1-7 looking completely different come July, may as well abuse the ridiculous rules in place. Anyone want a foreigner on a 7......
-
No difference from last season in regards to our team & we almost made the playoffs. With the new league as it is I don't see a major problem.
-
And you have this on good ground? If so please show me? Also, I believe that once on the bspa site it's been ratified by them? The Twitter police do amuse me.
-
I think you need to learn what Irony is, you bleat on about "I'm not a troll...blah, blah, blah" & write stupid comments like that.
-
It's a watered down league with inflated averages so teams looks completely unbalanced. Personally I'm quite happy with the side put together, I think Doyley was a must, Ellis is coming on leaps & bounds & I don't buy into his average only being highly because he was a FTR, rode mainly at 2. Morris was a give me & he needs a big season & in the league as is I think he'll hold his avarage, he rode mostly at 3 or 5 so had no easy rides. He'll be at 5 & with the format back to the old ways I'm sure he'll be okay. Bellego was the bizarre one if any, perhaps could have used the points better but looking at other teams he's as good if not better as some out there....Charles Wight, Paul Starke, Jack Holder, Lasee Bjerre to name a few. Our future is a bright one, best rider in the league bar none at 1, up & coming riders as support. Brand new facility on its way.....it's not a bad time to be a Robins fan IMO. Roll on April!!!
-
Bjerre got lucky with his average, was very poor in the EL 2015....Signed for Pboro & rode a handful of meetings, josh wasn't, his average in that league he raced in. A suitably comparison his Josh & Garrity, both have similar averages & it"ll be interesting to see who does better.
-
No question for me, Doyley everytime. Well he isn't a 7.
-
That I can't answer, it appears we have done nothing untoward. I expect Andersen will be a 5. Only ever ridden the Danish league from what I can tell (other than the U21 rounds).
-
I'm sure the new rules state that any new foreign rider will come in on a 4 min average. Gone is the 7 from this years premier league.
-
It's a gamble but one worth taking, with the points left we didn't really have much choice. The team is young, hungry & hopefully that brings success! Morris must step up now!!!!
-
So your current owner is offered pretty much a free ride & isnt signing the deal. To me it's this individual who will take Cov down & not the previous speedway owner.. Isn't this similar to what happened at Boro? Again, one side I suppose but if the other side won't speak what/who do you believe, like I said earlier it's the fans who suffer!
