Hi there, just read your first post and this is exactly what I'm looking to get involved with, my ambition is to one day get into the national league, and with some coaching i think it will really help, are the dates for the school at Brandon for people with there own equipment? I am yet to get my own gear so just wanted to know if it was just based on people with their own gear?

well said, i know there are plenty of places that do open to the masses for open days but these are always the same tracks, scunthorpe and stoke offer equipment to those who cant afford to get into the sport straight away. yes there are others that have training days but if you loo at it the majority are on the coast or nearby. for people like myself starting out i had to travel 2 and a half hours last week to have a day at scunthorpe. You dont see places like wolverhampton and coventry and swindon for example opening and offering anything similar to get the youth and next generation through the door. i completly agree that there are more than a handful that open their doors but not enough around the country do their bit for new commers

Hi everyone, I'm looking to get into speedway and have been trying to find somewhere to have a go that also supplies all the equipment until I can get hold of my own gear. I'm from the midlands but don't seem to be getting much response from clubs. If anyone runs or knows anyone that runs training schools get in touch as I'm really keen to get on a bike. Thanks Rich

hi mike i spoke to you a couple of weeks back about coming up to learn to ride. i spoke to dave like you asked to book a date to hire equipment and but have had no reply from him, i would guess hes a busy man. so i was wondering if you could find out for me which sundays are ree and a bike and equipment will be free to hire on the day. thanks mike Rich
