deathbymilkfloat replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
i have changed my mind about booing mr kerr on tues evening, what i said in my previous post i was still a wee bit angry about the previous evenings events at that particular time in what could have been a match result changing incident,if he wins a race on tues evening or does any good manouver i will applaud him,i apologise to any fan who may have been annoyed by my last post. -
Kings Lynn V The Heathens
deathbymilkfloat replied to greyhoundp's topic in National League Speedway
well said mr wembley81,where i was stood there was a kings lynn fan that admitted kerr was cheating(well almost he called it tactics),the best thing of all some bird came up from the pits ranting and raving, about the booing saying that kerr was hurt after his slight misdemeanour, all in all it was a good meeting roll on tuesday so i can exercise my booing vocal chords again at young mr kerr. -
Potters V Heathens - 2nd Leg Staffs Cup
deathbymilkfloat replied to ChubbyChesgire's topic in National League Speedway
heathen1984 you are a complete and utter buffoon,a rider down complaining of back pain can be a very serious injury, but there again he was down injured on the track for about 20 minutes in my reckoning-so where did the other 30 minutes go?....it was waiting for another ambulance to transfer him to hospital same fiasco as there was in under 21 semi final held there, surely the stoke management could have learnt there lesson after the semi to have 2 ambulances at the track,i was stood there asking myself how on earth did this place win nl track of the year last season-maybe no other track entered it. -
Potters V Heathens - 2nd Leg Staffs Cup
deathbymilkfloat replied to ChubbyChesgire's topic in National League Speedway
Long, drawn out meeting thanks to a couple of falls. Hope both Pickard and Bekker are ok! As for the meeting itself, Dudley looked the more compact team, but Stoke always seemed to just have enough in their 4 riders who were scoring. Birks was pretty good, and Worrall was exceptional, never looking troubled. Ben Reade was the star of the show though, scoring paid 17 from reserve! For Dudley, Webster was a solid guest, but Roynon would have scored more. Reserves looked ok in the reserves race, but not much after. Perry impressed, Morris chipped in, White Williams was steady. Still, 90-90 on aggregate, I guess we take the cup as no-one would have beaten Worrall in a run off [/quote i agree there vog,]as far as im concerned you can have the poxy cup(if there was one as i didnt see it on display),it saves having a replay and me having to fork out to go to that place again. -
iv got to agree with heathen1984,stoke speedway is a joke, last season the ko cup match v dudley the start was delayed by 2 hours because someone had forgot to book the paramedic(i wonder if this was done on purpose as it was a scorching day so the several hundred dudley fans will spend more money on booze and food therefore lining the stoke managements pockets with extra revenue),then there was meetings when the track lights failed, and that has already happened again this season v iow, then there was saturdays fiasco with a poxy 9.30pm curfew, why start a meeting with a scheduled 22 races at 7.30pm,which meant trying to squeeze 22 races into 2 hours, why not start meeting at 6.30pm or even have it on the sunday afternoon, going back to the 9.30pm curfew why was this not implemented at several meetings which i attended last season and there was racing still going on past the allotted curew time,i admire all the potters fans who still attend the meetings as they must be die hard speedway fans,as i for one would have gave it up as a bad job at loomer road.

can somebody in the know please tell me why the curfew at gloomer rd is 9.30pm

whats the weather like out in mildenhall? we are leaving at noon and any weather updates/forecast would be appreciated -
what went wrong between dan stoneman and the potters, one day on his facebook he announced he had signed for them, then the next day negotiations had broke down,in my opinion stoke have missed out on a good 3 pointer there, and he is more than capable of getting his average up to around the 5 mark.
-
in my opinion i think webster is over rated and the potters are better of with worrall in their ranks, best of luck to webster though i hope he soon gets another team and he makes me eat my words.
-
stoke to win by 8 and heeps to pass garrity on 4th bend lap 4 to win cup for tigers in race off
-
i hope so,i for one will be buying one,and will be watching it for many years to come, best meeting iv ever been to in 40 odd years of watching the great sport

Stoke Potters Vs Dudley Heathens
deathbymilkfloat replied to CrystalCastles's topic in National League Speedway
Looks like dudley will be without adam roynon who withdrew from last nights meeting at scumfield after 2 attempted ridas due to aggravating leg injury before meeting. I can't see nothing other than a massive home win, unless all the dudley riders have a sudden swing in form on last nights performance, apart from stoneman who looked a different rider last night compared to his earlier spell this season with the mighty heathens. -
Scunthorpe/sheffield Vs Dudley
deathbymilkfloat replied to Fozzie4388's topic in National League Speedway
We came we saw we were annialated, well done scunfield that was a superb performance from a team that look like champions to me,dudley that was very lack lustre again and only danny stoneman can come out of it with any credit. -
Scunthorpe/sheffield Vs Dudley
deathbymilkfloat replied to Fozzie4388's topic in National League Speedway
can we have some weather updates please,as i will be leaving the west midlands about 4ish,i fancy scunfield for the win,but if armo and roynon are back on form, perry continues flying,a couple of extra points from morris, ritchings and reserves,i can see dudley scraping a point, all in all i think it will be a good meeting especially heat 3 the worralls v morris and perry(if the line ups are correct) -
well done mildenhall best team on night by far,but cant help thinking they are a wee bit dirty, examples heat 9 when morris was blatantly taken out by blackbird and heat 11 when hargreaves seemed to shut off the power in front of roynon in heat 11,and going back 1 week to the hammer meeting hargreaves was excluded for unfair riding in one heat and in his next race tried to put ritchings on the dog track, but hey i guess thats speedway, well done once again mildenhall.
-
i for one wouldnt,my dudley team would be-1 newman,2 ritchings,3 perry,4 morris,5 roynon,6 franklin,7 a n other(i would have kept brendan johnson) i think that team would fit in under the team average guidelines and would be in with a chance of winning the title.
-
So why in the ko cup match between these 2 teams after a heat 15 crash involving bekker and perry, the announcer said meeting abandoned due to the track staff not being able to fix safety fence before 10pm curfew, that announcement was made at 9.50pm that night..
-
at the end of the day your just an amatuerish set up,but got some exellent riders.
-
how come you got a safety certificate for last sundays meeting against dudley, but not one for last nights meeting? i think theres more going on behind the scenes at stoke speedway than what they are letting on.
-
stoke probably forgot to book paramedics in advance again, the real reason for it being called off
-
can the kings lynn supporters please keeep us heathens updated with the weather please, just incase of a postponement,if the meeting goes ahead i look forward to seeing you all there, many thanks
-
what a farce, good job weather was decent, what would have happened if this was an evening meeting? would they have waited 2 hours and start it at 9.30pm and finish at 11pm,i think not,i suggest the stoke promoters/management remember to book paramedics in advance in the future, fair play to stoke when it eventually got started, they were on a different planet from the gate,i cant see dudley overturning this 30 point deficit on tuesday evening, but who knows after today-would anyone have predicted such a huge stoke victory,i for one didnt.
