What would of happened if Ellis had rode against medical advice? Would he of been insured, or would it of been invalid? Lets say Ellis went into the re run and his injury caused him to crash out, If he took out another rider and seriously injured the other rider, then he could be open to all sorts of legal implications!! But who would Lakeside as a club point the finger at then? At a paramedic who did his job, but was ignored? A referee who would of have to of over ruled medical advice to allow him to ride? Or would they stand up and pay out what could be a massive amount of money because of serious injury to another rider !! I know its all what if's, but it could of happened.

Well I am a happy lions fan.A 5 min walk up to the stadium, only had to que for about 15 mins, stood in my normal place with friends, we all had a bet which I have to say I won!! It wasn't about who would win the team event, or the individual part of the meeting, It was who would be the first out of Robert72 or Volty to come on here and slag it off!! Free entry for me at the next meeting, LOL. As for the day, well I would agree it was not the best racing I have seen, but then again I wasn't really expecting it to be. Its pre season, who in their right mind would be throwing every thing they had in to today? Its a long season, not a time to get injured. As for the poster who could not find anywhere to park? why did you not look on google maps before setting off, loads of parking near where I live, and like I said, it only takes me 5 mins to walk to the stadium.

This may sound a bit strange, but if I had a piece of land like Brandon then I would of said to the developer, yes I will sell it, but you find us a new home as part of the deal!! I might not get as much money out of the deal, but if the developer really wanted it they would. Or is that being to simplistic? I have seen many local non league football clubs go down this route, even to the extent of getting a brand new club house and lots of money spent on the pitch etc.

Leicester U21s played there a couple of weeks ago, so I guess they are renting the pitch out.

could I ask a question? Would it be difficult to get planning permission while speedway and stocks are still running at the site?? I ask because a few years back some people bought a local pub in a small village, they wanted to knock it down and build houses on the land. If I remember correctly they were not allowed to do it straight away, they had to close the pub for a few years, then seek planning for houses, it was something to do with change of use on the land? Would this not also apply to Brandon?

Just a few questions on Doyle situation, 1. If Doyle is self employed, as most riders are, is it not against UK Tax laws that he only has one employer?? 2. If his visa says he can only work and I guess that means being paid by one employer, why could he not guest for any other team?? If say Birm wanted to use him then surely this could happen, Birm pay Lions for the use of an unnamed rider, Lions pay Doyle. I am sure there are ways around it. But could anyone who knows the facts please put me right?? -

Not trying to disprove anything!! Was just giving you the information I had been given at the time. Believe it, or do not, I do not really care. If you think your count was correct then that is fine, and I guess every one stood still while you counted them, all the toilets emptied, every one showed you ID proving their age etc. You brought me into this topic by saying I worked on the gate at the stadium, another fact that is not true, but do not let that get in your way of using everything you can to have a go at the club. -

No I do not mean who paid to get in !! It was a head count of who came through the main gate. I guess you could be right about others who gain free entry, but I guess that happens at every sporting event?? The figure I gave in response to a post by Volty a long time ago when he was claiming how poor the attendance was at that particular meeting. -

Sorry I have no idea how many season ticket holders there are? I do not work on the gate, I do not work for the lions at all. I did know someone who was on the gate last season, and on one meeting he had to use a counter to see how many people had attended. -

Why are some of you talking as if he was some kind of free agent without a contract signed??? Hagonshocker. Could I ask you a question please?? Would the contract that you say he has signed not be subject to all other things being in place? eg. A prem place at somerset? Also if a club can get out of an offered contract then I would guess a rider can do the same? Is it not true that all contracts are not finalised until the bspa agree to them and approve the team? Sorry it ended up as 3 questions.

But why have a go at Leicester??? They have not done anything wrong at all!! Why pull the Doyle deal. I would put money on the fact that the Doyle deal was done in the correct manor, with all parties happy. As for Nick, can you really blame Leicester for asking the question if he became available for what ever reason?? I imagine most teams would if they had room for him??

Oh yes it can be answered!! There were 2 fantastic full size football pitches. It was also part of a cross country course, The car park area had 2 astro courts and a bmx area with jumps, the club house was changing rooms. Before that it was a tip. SORRY. -

Ask yourself why they were turned down last season? Not due to the stadium !! Due to other promoters not wanting them in, did not want to share their sky money with another team !! Did not want a local club near them that might affect their own attendances!! Correct me if I am wrong please as I would be interested to hear your understanding of why they did not get in last time?? -
Really hope this rain goes away. What a great line up of riders!! Something that will really interest me is how these top riders get on at BP ? I have spoken to DH on a few occasions, and he has always said that better quality riders would find different lines around BP. Well will be interesting to see if these top riders can do it? Also see if they can break Cooks track record?? Which he lowers every time he comes to BP.

It says about the fixtures on the official site, click on prem lge table, then read the bottom where it says how the play off's work, that's where it says about 24 meetings. Also click on the prem lge play off table, that also states, The two groups are made up of the teams finishing 1st to 6th after the regular 2013 prem lge season. I am not clutching at any straws at all!! just asking for someone to show me the cut off date in print? If its all true and legal the all the best to all teams in the play off's, the fact that lions were not good enough is fine by me, { sort of, } lol.
-
That is my point !! I went through all 55 pages of the rules, no date !!! Also on the Official web site it states, The Play Off's. How they work. Teams race 24 meetings { 12 home. 12 away }. The top 6 THEN go forward to the play off's. It may be common Knowledge? But I still can not find it in writing any where? Point me in the direction of the AGM minutes and I will go through them as well.
