I care !!! You clearly did as you had a go at me in an earlier post!! But as I thought you are both full of it until challenged!! All mouth and nothing to back it up !!
-
Come on robert72, I am waiting !!! Or have you gone into hiding?? Its a straight forward question, no catches, no naughty motive. Would just like to hear how many people you think are needed at BP to make it viable or profitable ? DH has said on BSP sight roughly how many were at the meetings against Coventry and Wolves. Do you think that is enough? Or not?
-
I do not claim to know anything better than you !! You said there were not enough fans left to make it viable, I just asked the question how many in your opinion was needed to make it profitable? You made the statement so I was assuming you could back up your argument? Clearly you can not, or you would of given a reasonable response by now!! Not a stupid idea that I am trying to catch you out in some way!! Typical, make a sweeping statement but can not back up what you say??

robert72, could you please answer the question I asked. I would be interested to read your view on numbers needed at BP to make it pay??

So what are you going to do then? Because as I see it at the moment, just moaning on a forum is doing no good at all. I did not say have placards saying Hemsley Out, I said get all the stay away supporters outside the stadium, put forward a spokes person, express your views to the media, DH would have to respond, either by explaining why he can not or will not make the changes that all are asking for. If DH says he thinks its all ok, then he has a bigger problem because many people like myself live in hope, if he says he can not afford to make the changes then there are many options that could be explored to help do this. I have read on the forum that an unknown person has offered to pay for the changes, but I guess the big question there is what would they want in return ?? No I do not think you are being unreasonable to want to be entertained, I feel the same, I think I am right in saying Leicester City council own the land but DH company have a 99 year lease on it. -

Look all I did is give an idea for those people who keep moaning, keep bashing Leicester speedway and DH. If they feel so strongly about it then do something about it!! It has been said that DH will not bother about what is said on the forums, it has been said that a petition would not make any difference to the way he thinks? What I am trying to say is, instead on just sitting on a pc and moaning and saying hundreds wont go anymore because of the track, prove it!! Get all of these supporters to stage a protest outside the stadium, invite the media, explain your complaints, will it happen? I don't think so, because I do not think these people are really that bothered. I will go every week, I will hope the changes will take place, but I will not be a part of anything that will help to close it down by not going. Who knows what the future holds? Who knows who will own it next year, or the year after, etc. But I do know that if enough people stop going then you will not have anything to moan about. -

Could I maybe turn all the negativity around? People saying that there are hundreds or thousands that are staying away due to the track and poor racing. It has been mentioned about a petition, but people say that will fall on deaf ears, So having thought about it, would it not be an idea to get together all the people who say they will return if things are changed, meet out side the stadium and show DH just exactly how many paying customers he is missing out on. If the numbers are as you all say they are then he could not ignore you. As they say strength in numbers. I would suggest you do it in a peaceful manner without any attack on DH directly, or personal abuse. You never know? -
Could you explain how you come to the conclusion that there are not enough fans to make it pay?? In your opinion how many would make it viable as a business, how many fans would you need to attend to make a profit?

How much difference does the shale make? I remember last season when we had some darker coloured shale put on the track, I think it came from Scunthorpe? If I remember correctly it was only for a couple of meetings, but they were very good ones.

Gate 1, had 4 wins. Gate 2, had 3 wins. Gate 3, had 6 wins. Gate 4, had 2 wins. Simon Gustafsson won off gate 4 in heat 5, then Simon Stead in heat 10. I agree, maybe Simon Stead should have more belief in him self, also Norrie should of been stronger. -

I agree, a shame a few more Robins fans did not have belief in their team and travelled up to support them. -

Have to say well done to the Robins tonight, but how stupid do all those Robins fans feel now, the ones who were saying just give the Lions the points, the ones who said they would laugh at DH when he had to pay out to all his riders who would get max points. Did not quite work out like that, did it !! As for the meeting, it was not the best, Lions manager and captain made a big mistake with the TR in heat 10 which cost us the win. Credit to Stead he had the balls to admit it was him who said he did not think he could get out of gate 4, that's why they opted for KH off gate 2. One positive to come out of tonight was our new team member, Krzysztof Buczkowski, looking forward to seeing him ride again. Great effort from him, a real crowed pleaser. Also have to say that the crowed numbers looked good, despite all the bad feeling on here. -

Nothing idiotic about my post at all. It was just an opinion, if you think differently to me then why not explain your reasons, instead of trying to insult me. -

Why is everyone having a go about this meeting? If you do not like the line up of riders then its simple, do not go, you are not being forced!! Why worry about paying the points, its not coming out of your pocket. I will be at this meeting!! I also think the crowd will be ok, I will agree that it is not ideal with missing riders, but lets be honest, I have not really had a team to support this season, by that I mean 7 riders who I can connect with. It happens all the time by the looks of it, R/R or Guests every where, I think this has been jumped on because AR does not want the meeting to go ahead, he wants to watch the qualifiers. For those who are not going I will post again and let you know if I enjoyed my sat night. -

As long as the smoke is not from a blown engine on the start line !!! -
Would just like to point out that in my post #197 it was not my intension to have a go at the Lions reserves. It was just to put figures of our season so far. You can make the argument that the reserves are costing us points, but you could also make a case that the top 5 are not good enough. I also accept the figures can be a bit misleading as we have used quite a few guests that have not all worked in our favour.

Raining quite heavy at the moment. I am only 5 mins walk from the track. Forcast? Depends on which website you go on, one says rain until 8pm, another says should clear up by 2pm then be clear with some sun? The track does drain well, but it still needs the rain to stop. -

The Lions top 5 have out scored their opponents on 4 occasions but only won 2 of the matches. Out of interest how does this compare to other clubs??

I agree with you. I only posted the cost as someone asked the question.

Leicester was £15 in the PL. Now it is £16 in the EL.

I live about 5 mins walk from the track, it has been raining all morning. local weather report says it should stop about 4pm? Not sure if that will give Glynn time to get it ready or not? The track does drain very well, so that is prob why they are leaving it as late as poss before giving up on the meeting.
