  1. If time money and weather were not a problem, I would shorten the straights by bringing in the kerb on both ends, banking the track from airbag to kerb, By doing that it would enable riders to enter the bends on different lines hence giving them more options while in the bends. In the winter I would hope to get the motor blade on the track and do as much as we can to get rid of the off camber on turns 3 and 4.
  2. Just to let everyone know, all that can be done is being done. We have had unprecedented amout of rain this month. Last Fri I pumped off any standing water, Saturday I let it dry , was best to stay off the track, you can do more harm than good if you try and work it while it's to wet. Sunday I worked the track for 6 hours, it was bladed several times, wheeled many times, spun in, then graded, finally packing it for an hour with the lorry, if I knew how to post a pic of how it looked on Sunday I would, it looked really good. Monday and today we have had nothing but rain! My pump has been working since a week last Sunday. Sam has been up today to get any surface water off, horrible job in the wet and cold. As soon as is possible the track will be worked on tomorrow and Thurs, we are trying, very hard !!
  3. To correct you, I am the track curator in question, I went as a spectator, just to watch the meeting, I arrived about 5pm straight from work with no intention of doing anything, the track was being watered at that time, nearer to start time it was clearly drying out fast, it was also clear it would need watering during the meeting, you can not put water on a slick part of the track as it makes it like ice, as john was on his own I offered to help if needed, I graded after ht4, ht,7 ht11, so I find your accusation that I had an influence on the out come of the meeting offensive. I was told the track had been constantly been watered from Sunday, and all throughout Monday, I would also add many track curators know each other and it's not unusual for them to help each other out from time to time.
  4. It's not a terrible ruling, pre season all clubs had the opportunity to keep their RS from the previous season, 4 clubs decided to to do this , KL, Sheff, Ipswich, BV, Leicester RS average was to high so couldn't be used, As Oxford and Birmingham were new in the league they would get first and second choice from the list, Leicester getting last choice. As sheffield signed Jason that effectively took him off the list as the other 3 clubs could not sign him.
  5. A guest from the rs list, his ma must be the same or lower than the rs he is replacing. He can not be attached to another prem club.
  6. Seems you seem to know differently? If so could please let the referee know. I was warned 2 seasons ago while grading, I accidentally dropped some material over gate 3, I had to go back out and remove it, it was pure accident, had gathered some material from turn4 then my grader bounced over the start line which left the dirt there. I was also asked not to drive continuously over the same gate each time I went around the track.
  7. You can not touch the gates after the meeting has started, if you could then you could really doctor them for your own teams benefit,
  8. I can confirm that was my picture from sat afternoon. After many many hours of work.
  9. To be honest there is no one more disappointed than myself and all the others who have been working so hard at our track for months.
  10. Well I can confirm it was not the drainage that caused Thursday call off, the damage had already been done, I am not sure if people realise how much rain we have had, we have emptied the drains 3 times since last weekend, each drain hold approximately 5 thousand ltrs, we have 8 main drains, they were full each time.
  11. Yes well aware of the date, that's why I left it so long to reply, post like that can be very damaging to clubs,
  12. You are correct in what you say, but the car park is not included, also it is used 7 days a week by 2 other companies, I would imagine they pay for the privilege of use, so my question to you would be why should it fall on the speedway to repair it or pay for it? I have filled in many pot holes in the car park In the past, all free of charge and all in my spare time.
  13. Wonderful theory, I was there on the day of the photo, the tyre packing marks are my handy work , when a photo is taken on a phone it is date and time stamped, so I think you are very wrong! Just checked Oct 31st at 16.29. Does that clear it up for you?
  14. My only problem was that you said it was information from a trackman at Leicester, People can post what they like and what they think is right , I work all day, then straight to the track after work most nights, so don't have time to read everything, I was alerted to you post by phone call today, that's why I reacted to it. In fact I have had to read about 9 pages just to catch up with it all. Please be more careful with who you credit your information from.
  15. Yes I have seen this post, but unless you know differently Flagrag is not a track curator at Leicester, so your post is miss leading. Yes several of his comments are incorrect.
  16. Not correct, go back through the posts, the only thing I put on this forum was why the back straight and corner looked such a mess due to having to take water from the drains and off the track to dispose of it all outside, I have not posted since then !!
  17. Which one? As I as one of the track curators, I have never met you, have never spoken to you, have never msg you, so would be very interested how you get your information?
  18. Good evening, am posting this with the blessing of the gaffer, The reason for the back straight and turn two get churned up with tractor tyres is as follows, we have take 80 to 100 thousand ltrs of water off the track and from the drains over the past week or so, the only way of doing this is by tractor and water bowser, which only holds 4 thousand ltrs at a time, so you can work out how many trips that takes, the only place we can put this water is outside of the stadium, our only exit from the track is along the back straight and turn 2 through the pits, we have no choice, can't leave water on the track, can't get it off without causing some damage to the track. We will do our best to get this meeting on. I have worked on that track for nearly 6 years now, have worked with the best track curators there are , So I find it disgusting by someone on here claiming I did something to the track which caused SD to end up in hospital. That 1 post has upset me big time.
  19. No they were not open, big gates were padlocked from the inside, small gate was unlocked but closed with a bar through it on the inside, so unless you have keys? Or you climbed over you did not come into the track.
  20. The gates were all closed!! I emptied the drains , which is a regular thing, 2 main puddles on the track which we always get, all water was off the track by 5.30,
  21. There were very good reasons why the tractor went out after heat 2, and an even better reason for us taking the interval at ht 10 rather than ht11,
  22. You are welcome to come and spend the day with me.
