Greyhound races are sometimes over six bends. A race of 670meters the dog would run bends 3&4 then 1&2 then 3&4 again, that's when the race starts on the back straight.
-
Don't start.
-
To my mind a rider should be ready for grip, it shouldn't be unexpected.
-
I spoke to the Scottish Retired Greyhound Trust representative and she said that about two thousand dog whereabouts were unknown. Sometimes trainers retire and rehome dogs with friends or keep them themselves, so there whereabouts are unknown.
-
Could you point me in the direction where these figures can be found?
-
No of course not. No one is saying that engines can't be be sold "down" a league, if they did then that WOULD be a problem.
-
If riders are buying new equipment each year and they are told that for the following year that they must have the standardised equipment I don't any see a problem with them being left with engines that don't meet the new regulations.
-
It would make more sense to introduce them from the top down, then riders could sell their old gear to riders down a league.

Did Edinburgh not say that they couldn't get anyone to travel on Fridays leading them to try for Davey?
-
The point was that Alex put forward Edinburgh's race night is Friday, long may it continue at Armadale, not Saturdays.
-
I genuinely find that hard to believe. You can't watch T.V. or read newspapers in that case. You only follow speedway but I'll bet you've heard of Manchester United and The Beatles.

Edinburgh press release regarding race night, strange that they insisted on Glasgow running on the Friday for the Play Off Final. OPENER NOW ON FRIDAY 1st The Border Roofing Monarchs have switched their opening home match of the season to their more normal Friday race night, 1st April. Previously it had been announced that Belle Vue would visit on the following night, but travel problems for some of their side who have commitments in Poland on the Sunday have brought about the change. Explaining the move, co-promoter Alex Harkess said, "Belle Vue were in touch at the end of last week raising doubts about their ability to send the team to us that they had originally suggested. That concerned me as some of the prime attractions of their team could have been missing. Rather that wait to see how it would develop we have taken the decision to move the date now, long before the event so that there is no confusion as we approach the opening night." Alex added, "I was always wary about opening our season on a Saturday as it sends out the wrong signal as to what our race day is. We'd only done it at the request of the Aces in the first place. We've been a Friday night race track for almost forty years now and everyone knows that so I'm happy now that we'll be opening on that day." The Club apologises for any inconvenience caused. Tickets will go on sale at 5.00pm on Monday and the good news is that thanks to sponsorship from Border Roofing they will be held at normal prices and the even better news is that there is no increase in prices for the coming season from the 2015 level..

How about the Chairman of the B.S.P.A. makes a statement giving the facts about this shambles and clear it up.
-
No, they were out and out crooks.
-
No Gaz, Friday at Glasgow is absolutely no use to me. If it is that's me finished with speedway.
-
Personally I'm getting fed up with all of this. I just want to watch speedway. As a Sunday suits me I'm of the opinion Edinburgh can race at Armadale on Fridays till the cows come home.
-
Should club P.R. folk post on a fans forum. If I want facts and figures on a club, say Scunthorpe or Peterborough, I'll go on to their official web page.
-
Take your blinkers off. No doubt if he gives a young speedway rider some advice he'll be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Good night with Nige and Kev. Don't do Faecebook or Twatter so not giving anything away, but watch out for Glasgow V Edinburgh on Sky.
