  1. Jack being announced tonight as back at Plymouth
  2. thats a brilliant new idea, weigh all the riders and no one allowed to have a team that is over 90 stone in weight.
  3. Ryan Fishers Testimonial was put off because Glasgow wouldnt move their fixture date to allow it to be run on the Friday before the World Cup, which would have allowed the USA World cup team to be in Plymouth. I made a fairly innocent joke about 4 cardinals, the person without the sense of humour got caught a few weeks later having it off over a school desk and departed. Knowing Ryan had fully recovered from his shoulder operation and that he had two new bikes I expected him to have a super season, isnt hindsight a wonderful thing. As a result of your comments Mr Conceited and former devil I have decided I dont see any point in pouring money into Plymouth Speedway any more just to be a target for your invective and attacks and for me to part finance your nights out
  4. having put over £31,000 into Plymouth Speedway to keep it going i think i have paid my dues an d am intitled to my opinion when you have opened your wallet you can open your face
  5. I believe the wording is AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON
  6. OK lets take a dispassionate look at the supporters club. Have they last winter or this organised any winter events ah NO DDid they organise any trips to away matches NO they were done by Devils on tour The end of season DO was put together by the promotion The committee got in free to matches and sold50/50 tickets up to 1910 when they stopped because they wanted to watch the match Free entry was costing the club over £100 per week compared to normal paid entry, IF they were true supporters they would be happy to pay the entrance. They did pay just over £300 to the riders over the course of the season They stopped running the track shop because they closed it at 1910 because they wanted to watch the match WHY must have lost oodles of sales. Basically they wanted free entry for selling tickets for about 45 minutes where is the SUPPORT in that? I believe they alienated lots of real supporters with their 'clique' attitude
  7. has asked at least 1 PL Club for 3 times the going rate for his air fare a new van, £100 rent money and lots of point money, not realistic in the present economic climate. Arent Swindon also expected to pay his rent, supply a van
  8. the 1.5 million was the extra needed abopve the planned rebuild to move it rather than rebuilding it wherer it was and it was 12 years ago
  9. The doggy race people are still taking bookings for Christmas packagesat Blunsdon right up to Christmas week
  10. At that time there were plans to redevelop Ashton Gate, the 1.5 million was the estimated cost of moving the location of the proposed new stands to make the room needed to get the track in.
  11. As a good Cornishman he could follow Chris Julian, buy an old Ford Consul, stick a trailer behnd it, drive up and sleep in Trevor Redmonds cardboard box in the office before the meeting
  12. In about 2004 I actually had permission to take speedway into Ashton Gate stadium in Bristol, including permission from Bristol Council in writing BUT stadium modifications to make room weerre of the order of £1.5 million and I just didnt have it and couldnt raise it.
  13. Ryan Fisher was NOT reducing his points in 15, it was my bike he was riding, BUT he insisted on using his own tuner who doesnt appear to own a set of spanners because nuts and bolts were only finger tight on more than one occassion, IF he had used my old man in a shed at the bottom of his Cornish garden that wouldnt have happened. He did Matej Zagars engines for 3 years and Seemond Stephens amongst others his engines dont break, unlike Ryans bikes which didnt run after the so called tuner got his fingers on them
  14. surely you dont expect Pete Townsend to answer, he has enough to do with The Who maybe you are too young to remember The Mods and even the Rockers
  15. Centre green pits idea already used in US World of Outlaws Sprint car series
  16. Bech isnt allowed to go PL, average too high the EL will be using 32 PL standard riders in 2016, hardly Elite is it Glasgow will not be going to Friday nights in 16 but 17 is a different matter 17 COULD see Edinburgh moving to Ingliston which is close to Edinburgh airport, they just need to find the money to build a new grandstand, job for Mike Spearpoint from Wurzelsland?
  17. a friend had a speak and spell, when the batteries went flat it suddenly came out with every naughty word around an d always when mother in law was visiting
  18. Wal Morton and Geoff Pynar made it to 52 and i believe super Jimmy Sqibb made it to 54
  19. At somerset they run a market on Thursdays from June 1 for 14 weeks golf driving range next to track
  20. I always thought Poultec was a chicken farm, got that wrong!!!
  21. Lets face it the 2015 season opening Visa situation was caused by the BSPA Office members believing they were above everybody else in the world and they didnt need to rreply to the UKVI (British Government) by the date laid down How much money and angst did that one failure cause? There should be a complete clear out of office staff over that alone
  22. i hear things could get cold at poole and it might even be more difficult to cross a river
  23. if coventry, lakeside, belle vue and swindon all run on a friday it could present the premier league teams with problems with absent DU riders, one team at least no longer have a number 1 nailed on, who could be off the somerset list for the same reason. looks as if Josh would miss 2 fridays at each of the above, plus brady 2 at each, thats 16 matches with a weakened team. Due to planning, somerset have to run majority on a friday, edinburgh had several blank fridays in 15 but insisted they came to highbridge on a weekday rather than a spare blank date friday at edinburgh
  24. is it true Swindon will be riding on a friday in 2016, along with BV, Lakeside and Coventry
