Strong heat leader trio, backed up by Max and Nathan. Leaves 6.41 for the reserves. Who are the best young riders still available?
-
Paul Starke and Tom Perry back at Cradley. Thanks.
-
It is a shame, but he should learn more from riding with the likes of Peter Karlsson for a month, than he would by spending another season in the NL.
-
Steve Worrall signed by CRADLEY Heathens.

Dear Promoters, Please arrange the League and Knock Out Cup fixtures as the priority this year. Any additional competitions can be run in September and October. As this is the right time of year for miracles and wishes coming true, I am almost optimistic. Just a little common sense and co-operation required. Yours hopefully, Tony K.

Ritchings instead of Smart is the other option with this line up. I'm guessing Worrall is the signature a lot of NL teams are after. If we can't get him then here's an alternative team. 1. Starke 9.93 2. Priest 4.75 3. Clegg 6.27 4. Greenwood 5.74 5. Perry 6.30 6. Greaves 4.00 7. ?????? 3.00 Total 39.99 Plenty of options for the 3 pointer.

The team manager needs to help the riders too. I thought the decisions regarding the Tactical Rides didn't make much sense, Waited until they were 30+ points down to give Branford his 'double pointer'. He could have done it in heat 5 - attempted to strike back when it was a possibility. Give it a go at the right time, if it doesn't work then it doesn't work.
-
The only thing that could have made tonight better was the first heat not being stopped and awarded. Really, really wanted to know how close Roynon was to the NL track record. All that dirt for heat 1, he looked so fast.

Cloudy but dry, cloudy but dry, cloudy but dry. Say it often enough and it might happen.
-
Can only be a big home win, can't it? With 3 big wins against Buxton already this season surely a fourth is on its way. Will and Jan O. need to keep the boys focussed. They don't give out the big prizes in June. Good luck and 'Ommer 'um.

Heathens V I.o.w. Koc Sf 1st Leg 12/6/12

Another really good performance. Could have been better without a couple of falls. Great to see Tom and Ash scoring big points again. -
Hopefully the rain stays away tonight (forecast is for cool & cloudy) and we get a nice lead to take to the island. Visitors haven't ridden for 3 weeks so if there is any rustiness we need to take full advantage. Margin of victory will depend on the Heathens second string who have been up and down so far this season. Fingers crossed for a good meeting and continued progress from the youngsters at reserve.
-
I am looking forward to a close one tonight. Having 7 riders in both teams will be nice for a change. Cautiously optimistic about the result but keep remembering our recent home record versus Mildenhall.
-
Top notch display from all of the Heathens, just the odd point or two dropped. Cockle would have made a difference I'm sure, but not enough to change the outcome. Looking forward to next week already.
-
Soul Crew - Depending on what time you arrive, you will have to take any space available as the terraces will be heaving with Heathens. We get proper crowds you know. Main trouble maker is the big bloke on the centre green so you should be OK.
-
I was a bit worried about having R/R for Tom tonight, but seeing that Cockle is also missing swings it back in our favour again. I'm expecting Adam and Ash to carry us through with the other 4 chipping in. An extra R/R ride each will help them continue to get to grips with Monmore. Fingers crossed for full league points.
-
Back to the original topic. Webster guesting at no.1 and R/R for Tom (with Bekker,JWW and the 2 reserves taking his rides). Strong enough to hold off a re-jigged Stoke? Deciding factors Bekker + JWW for the Heathens and Stoke's 3 pointers (expecting Reade to have 6 rides).
-
McKinna is in Stoke's declared 1-7, you will need someone else to replace Worrall. It's never too early to get your guests booked.
-
To keep it 7 v 7 in a Challenge match, the Heathens will need 2 guests. Can we get Tim Webster (Roynon) and Paul Starke (Perry) to help us out ?

Mildenhall V Dudley - National League Shield 8/4/2012
TonyK39 replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
The 3 races between Heeps and Roynon could be the difference in this meeting. Heat 1 to set the tone for the rest of the day, heats 13 & 15 to set up the 2nd leg. -
One of the Heathens top 2 also struggled Vog, and Stoke caught a break when their 2nd best rider on the night was able to come in as reserve sub twice for 2 minute exclusions. Stoke's use of a guest in this challenge also gained them a few extra points. Made it a bit closer than it would have been in normal circumstances in my opinion.
-
If they start the season with the same race jackets they are wearing in the new photo, Ash is #5, Bekker #4. It's what I hoped for, what about you guys?

If Only 8 N.l. Teams Come To Tapes In 2012
TonyK39 replied to 21st century heathen's topic in National League Speedway
Home and away league fixtures, the KOC and the Fours is enough at this level. Each year the play off qualifying 'cut off' date has passed with the league fixtures not being completed. Also, each team will hopefully have a number of riders doubling up in the extremely busy Premier League. -
Bekker or Morris at number 5 ? I'd like Ashley to get first crack at it.
-
OK, I'll wait until next year and have another go.
