Birmingham Brummies V Eastbourne Eagles - Koc - 20/05/2015
gee jay replied to uk_martin's topic in National League Speedway
strewth uk martin , I'm glad you don't hold a grudge. -
maybe the reason you can't 'understand' is you seem to be assuming that everyone who is missing is absent because they are not interested in watching national league racing . some of the missing 300 or so may well not be able to go on sundays. like me.

I'm fine ta', but I think my computer's having a fit

thankyou very much for the info you have been a great help

has someone got an email address for Julie reading who I believe is the driving force behind the fund raising for ricky ashworth. thanks.
-
it's hard to say, depends how hard they are trying to catch wood & dugard . would have liked to have been there today but just got up a bit too late to make the trip . i .think it will be a bit closer than jubilee, 101 & islander. I think rye's top three will make a fist of it but middle order and reserves will be outclassed, eagles to win by 18-20 pts . everyone have a good day .

actually we have an Australian for gb.

does anyone know how i can get hold of a clip of niels and nicki on a danish t v prog they are mucking about this would be from a few months ago i have checked both their twitter and instagram feeds but no joy i think it was mentioned in the speedway star
-
pleased to see matt getting straight into it, paid 11 is terrific for his confidence. the rockets could be in a bit of trouble tomorrow. wish I could be there. no non finishers either, track must have been good.
-
I gather you don't think it will be close then

ice cream is a good idea, if you wait for the four riders to go past you can save having the 100's and 1000's.
-
could we call them the thompson brothers i keep getting flashes of snowy and tin-tin or that pop duo with the funny hair from the 80's.
-
if i was posh i'd say HEAR, HEAR!
-
i meant backing other than the bank of mum & dad which i know both youngsters have had in spades, in tom's case the dugards are really behind him , perhaps i should have put backing for the parents rather than the riders themselves? either way it's great to have the two of them to watch, and hopefully carry on with others aswell.
-
he's been worth watching for about 2 years now, we love watching the kids racing . tom seems to be getting the backing at such an early age that maybe rob lambert was saying that he hadn't and he certainly is getting in plenty of track time. a bit of a shame we're not going to see what he can really do for about 3/4 more years and he's by no means the only one but he does stand out atm.

gee jay replied to 21st century heathen's topic in National League Speedway
after the heathen's demolition of a 'fancied' brummies is it way to early to think the rest of us are fighting for second place again this season? -
thank you all very much, now all i've got to do is hunt down the video/dvds if they're available , thanks again.
-
the 2000 prem lge table in last weeks s/star showed newport with one away win. could someone let me know who that was against and whether they had any other away wins or draws in any of the other competitions of that year, thanks.

Rob Lambert Our Next British Hope?
gee jay replied to sommelier's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
i think laguta is the one i was thinking of. i still think holta raced in the world cup for poland, was dropped after they failed to win it and when the poles filled their positons in the next gp 's he represented norway but as you say maybe i imagined it. i didn't mention either rory shlein or that it was a 'speedway thing'. i'm sending you a pm. -
Rob Lambert Our Next British Hope?
gee jay replied to sommelier's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
rune holta did a pretty good job of flitting back and fore between norwegen and polish depending on whether it was the gp's or wtc and hasn't there been more recently a switch with a latvian/ russian so it would seem it can happen on a licence not just a passport. he's in a totally different era to loram . even in the elite league you can get away with missing the start and still have a chance of getting passed into second or even first but in sweden, poland, w.t.c and the gp's he wouldn't do it. he needs to learn how to gate now or will have a very tough time at the top, bomber is a prime example.
