New Training Track(s) For Scotland
gee jay replied to CaptainAudi's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
more great news for Scottish speedway , and it's got to be an overnight trip for Eastbourne if/when they enter a team in the league -
better to have a break from the sport than break bones, he just can't continue to have the falls he's having and get away with it. hopefully stopping racing doesn't mean stopping practicing as he was buzzing after his back to back wins on his comeback so we've all seen what he can do and I'd really like to see him do well. what about the new boy, he's raced all over Europe and won loads of races . have we found another gem? he's got a younger brother in the sport aswell, check them out at TEAM SPILLER RACING, rye house here I come !

for 2/3rds of the meeting it looked like your prediction would be right anyway, brilliant effort from marc . next week will be a different matter if the team ride the same. -
what a shocker ! I'm stunned at the result. well done to the young stars though.

Eastbourne V Buxton Sunday 09/08/2015 3.30 Pm

as we all know the dugards are not lunatics, well as long as you keep them away from a tractor . my guess is it's either a baldrick type cunning plan or it's putting strudwick up for some retribution after his interview in the star. -
it'll be interesting to see what niall can do with his chance on sunday after his interview in the star. he can't really loose as his recent run outs against adam sheppard , gary cottham and especially tom brennan will have fans expecting little from him in the way of points . not sure how strong the buxton reserves are away from home but if they are on a par with sheppard he could struggle . how many points do fans think will be a good day at the office for mr strudwick ?

Cov Storm V Brummies Fri 17thjuly
gee jay replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
I'm Eastbourne through and through but have to admit you do have a point. whilst I am loving watching him in Eastbourne kevlars he has got in under the radar if you like but he's hardly the first and won't be the last unless the law is altered. I do believe that if riders use these laws of duel nationality then they automatically pick their nationality by doing so. I thought he had already given an interview in the star in which he talked about nothing else than nz greats and what he wanted to do for nz speedway so it wouldn't need someone from outside of speedway to ask him, if you or I asked him he would say he's a kiwi. -
how the eagles managed that with 3 riders is just amazing, cottham looked rusty as expected but i dont know what was wrong with bates & owen. congratulations to bwd, wood & hopwood, a bit more of a team effort tomorrow should ensure a home win but coventry will be smarting after friday, hope the young lad who was hurt in the 1st lap of the mdl races is ok as he was screaming till the track staff lifted his bike off him, very nasty.
-
just got back to my hotel after watching the brummies beat the storm bit of shame greenwood lost his bronze helmet as bwd would have claimed it on sunday looking forward to seeing what the eagles can do at stoke
-
can anyone tell me if the Mildenhall meeting is still on today I will be driving four hours so I don't want a wasted journey thanks guys
-
he'd still be 3 riders short for the Israeli world cup team
-
I was there for that one. I thought the performance in the 2nd leg was even better than the beating they gave poole in the home leg. more of the same to come will be sweet regardless of what level they race at. I'm surprised that any one is surprised after all pitstop warned everyone a month ago.

darcy does have the talent but unfortunately that's where any similarities end

parked up next to the canal in the sunshine , spot of food , strolled in to see eagles fans on all 3 sides of the track, watched 13 riders giving their all not knowing what was going to happen next , after only pinching a point in his first ride when a rider fell infront then falling himself in his second seeing Kelsey having to keep waving to the crowd as he was cheered all the way back to the pits was special. then the day went a bit pear shaped, some knob closed off the M25 so we didn't hit the M4 till almost 12 and then only 5 miles from home the M4 was also close. did it spoil the day, not a bit.

a bit surprised that somerset has come in so quickly as he didn't exactly take advantage of being in the shop window on Wednesday night but I fancy the rebels to get the best out of him now.

it's only a fiver but hopefully it will all add up, good luck for a good day . -
sorry for the misinformation everyone. I totally missed it was the k.o.c. as soon as I opened the s/star I tried to get back on here to correct it but it was too late.

I can't help thinking an opportunity has been missed here, how about putting greg ond nicki on a tandem. -
thanks to islander I am now up to speed with the rules (I think so anyway). no aggregate point just the bonus points on the night .

yes I'm keeping a very close eye on the forecast, said yesterday that the only rain between now and sunday was two hours of it dinnertime Friday. it has only changed slightly with it starting two hours later now.
-
exactly, why didn't they open just the old stand , charge a nominal fee and donate it to ben fund
-
good to hear, I'm really looking forward to Saturday. weather forecast is good only rain predicted is dinnertime Friday.

it's interesting to read what you say as from a distance it seems like maybe not the wheels coming off exactly but certainly a bit of the sparkle has gone surrounding eastbourne for some reason. it's Wednesday now and the meeting report from last sunday has only just appeared on the website, problems with the track preparation, fans having a dig at each other and others calling things from the terracing and rumours of a very discontented rider, all on the back of a very poor showing at the fours. I hope everyone is going to stick together.
