no-one is talking about over the hill though, what is being talked about is the fact that 2 riders in particular have raced 500cc in germany and then come over here and looked 'a cut above' shall we say , coincidence ? maybe. perhaps if and when young ethan comes over and makes it 3 out of 3 my question might have a few more fans wondering. interesting to read your comment on robert lambert and his parents not being welcmed by you as they weren't willing to wait were they ? just to make it clear i am in no way advocating getting cattle prods out and forcing 14 yr olds to race. i don't want to see a & e's any busier than they already are either. just wondering if, and to use pete the cradley confucius' line, if they've learnt to ride already then why not let them learn to race.

there seems to be a lot of common ground on this subject even though some say yes and some say no. the biggest fear in the no camp seems to be that most 14 yr olds wouldn't be ready to race men with 10/15 yrs of racing behind them so what could be done so the few are not held back by the many. 1 a second half championship involving the top few 14 yr olds only, or added to the youth championships 2 international challenges 3 move them to germany

is there any doubt now that it was len silver that objected in the first place to daniel's inclusion ? i said to another eastbourne fan on saturday night that it was someone with the most to loose and knew the rule book inside out and all it's loopholes. with our next meetings being rye & kent and with the trophy final also against rye it pointed towards cuddley uncle len rather than anyone at cradley or birmingham etc. mind you i was way off the mark with him knowing the rule book inside out

as far as i'm aware peter has said that steven was the most naturally gifted rider of all 5 brothers and who would know better than him. if you fancy breaking your record i'd open a v brummies one early as there's going to be a lot of interest in this one

with the return , most would say spectacular return, to these shores of daniel spiller following on from adam ellis and rob lambert in pretty similar circumstances is it now time to bring the age for competing on a 500cc down to 14 especially after all that morris and vatcher have done with the youth championships only for 14 yr olds to be stopped in their tracks.

i think you're right , i'm afraid for kent fans. spiller had a lot of problems with bends 3 and 4 believe it or not from his score and he was absolutely furious with himself for messing up his last two rides he could have got 14/15 . if a rival club objected to him being here before he had even rode they must be 'spitting chips' now as there's a lot more to come from this lad. and this was all on the back of going through the boards onto the stock car track during a practice at arlington on saturday.

i don't do twitter etc so don't know what his gripe is but if it is him looking at his performance last night he'd do better to put the same effort he's putting into bitching about everything into his racing maybe it might increase his guest bookings .
