  1. i had a hot roast pork bap the last time i was there , i was tempted to drive back there the following week to get another one. cold ham sandwiches it is then.
  2. i think that's probably the final nail for that 4th spot now , rye house must be massive odds on to get it .
  3. it's branford , ellis & wilson dean for me too.
  4. whoever started the rumour that the paramedic went to get daniel from the airport is a complete and utter buffoon. i hope they are never in need of one when the one nearest them is doing a bit of moonlighting on the taxis.
  5. unless i'm mistaken this is not so far away from a few years back when the first the newport management knew of kyle newman signing for birmingham was a photo of him in the s/star warring a brummies bib, either short memories or they learnt by the experience .
  6. well i dont understand it. they don't want to run on saturday night because of the late finishing but then put it on when most people do have to get up for a monday. and if wood & shanes have been grasstracking all day surely they will be fit for nothing by 7.30.
  7. my bet is you'll love it, if the weather is kind. been there twice with eastbourne enjoyed the defeat as much as the victory. i think it's the young hume who's worth the entrance fee alone he'll have your heart in your mouth. branford is class especially at rye, if you're lucky he'll miss a few gates as i watched bwd & hopwood on a 5-1 and he got passed the two of them . my guess is you'll fancy seeing a bit more nl racing before the season ends.
  8. because they've been shafted by the bees as they had to fit in 4 meetings in 8 days i believe.
  9. it would also mean that the elite league riders wouldn't have to explain the lack of racing up to ht 6 -8 due to the track only having one line, then needing a few more races for the track to come good thus leaving 4 - 5 races at the end. everybody wins .
  10. better the money be passed around the dugard family than the tax man get his hands on it .
  11. talk about opening a can of worms, sounds like we all need therapy still.
  12. atm i'd see that as more believable than a hedgehog had p****d on the track.
  13. definately coventry if they can get all their fixtures in.
  14. can someone explain what happened yesterday as we're just baffled. we hit rain between bracknell and brighton admittedly pretty heavy but as soon as we turned onto the a27 there was nothing and the roads were bone dry so we were shocked to pull up outside the gates to see the sign. rather than just turn around and drive the 4 hrs home we stopped off at the reservoir near the stadium to have a break, the grass there didn't even wet our shoes and what should have been a puddle of mud at the entrance was solid under foot that was at 6.15. what a waste of a day and £70.
  15. my memory isn't brilliant but i did remember it slightly different from you. i didn't put it down to any break from racing as i thought they did well in the away leg but then totally blew it in the second leg, i always put it down to over confidence more than anything but either way thinking about it it's hard to believe it was 14 yrs ago. a friend who's a wolves fan still keeps asking me if i would like a dvd of this final to which i not so politely decline. thank you alex, i'll let him know to book it in today.
  16. that's good news for us, we'll take any saturday racing there is. is there any signs/rumours of the trophy final dates as my 'driver' has kept 2 days off for the trophy and koc as they're likely to be sundays but if someone books the days off before him that's it.
  17. yesssssssss, a saturday meeting again so here we come . halsey to do well but not get the better of bwd as he's not adam ellis. whether it's strudwick or powell should be a good win for the eagles, my guess 56 - 34..
  18. thank you. see, i knew you couldn't be as hard as you were saying, unless the red flags mean the tide was going out of course.
  19. does anyone know the riders in the other teams and why stoke rather than rye house? it would be nice to win this and maybe exorcise a few ghosts after the fours .
  20. bloody hell , how did you teach your kids to swim , chuck them in a canal ?
  21. ah at last a postcode for buxton. we just used to carry on at 'the slaughtered lamb' pub , then after heathcliff & cathy's rock turn down to the right .
  22. no disrespect to the tigers but i don't think we're going to need him on saturday but i was looking forward to seeing him at home for the first time, a bit dissapointing for me really.
  23. sorry to hear about your day, this must bring back memories of the elite riders championship if i remember rightly. it's fans like you that keep the sport going despite what promoters and the weather throws at us, but i bet your dog thinks you're nuts.
  24. are you kidding, centre stage is arlington today. you're definately in the wings with this one. so long as i've got the right person ,hope the weather isn't to bad up there so you can walk that dog of yours without getting soaked aswell .
  25. i agree that by the averages the top 3 are stronger but the fact that it's at arlington means most, if not all of that advantage is lost , eagles reserves should 'fill their boots', so i can only see an eastbourne win and the title not being decided for another week . great stuff !
