  1. while i see where you're coming from i don't think it's like a kiss and tell sort of thing as it's her own story so i don't see a problem. even if she was paid she's no doubt got bills to pay like the rest of us so it could come down to she needs the money, presumably she won't be able to do much for some time.
  2. not the right place exactly but thought he deserves a spot on here. super show again from young nathan ablitt in winning the british 150cc championship incredibly unbeaten in 45 races. shame he's only 12 .
  3. with them being dumped so quickly sounds like some little scrotum saw them being loaded/unloaded and thought they were trials or motocross but then found they couldn't use them as intended , so pleased for shelby and buxton.
  4. not just your opinion , i think they now expect all the fans to be on twitter/ facebook etc which is so easy and instant that there's no real hurry to update the websites.
  5. the trouble is so many things can delay a meeting , accidents ,wet weather , sunny weather , ambulance or doctors late to name a few , and i believe mildenhall's meetings are very often longer because of the damage caused to the track by stock cars who race the day before ,but in general i don't think many meetings finish in under 2 hrs.
  6. the only reason Adam gets all of the stick is he left the N.L. but then dared to come back as he found it wasn't the best move for him. he came back for the extra racing, end of... and Adam , Eastbourne and Poole have benefited from it. H.T. et all remembers last season different to me as i don't remember him a couple of points ahead of everyone else so out growing this league , i remember half a dozen stand out riders all within a point of one another with all but BWD competing in the N.L. this year. i can't wait to see if H.T.'s got the front to call his dad a liar.
  7. sounds like it was lucky there was a second level of scaffolding , get well soon md.
  8. has anyone said "his bike looks very second hand" ?
  9. no not at all it's just we have never pre-booked before and didn't even cross my mind until i saw your post and thought i'd save a few pounds .if i hadn't read it i would be driving to portsmouth now with no idea that there was a problem, so again thank you. several times before when we've strolled up and booked for the following crossing a guy has come up to the car and told us to board the one that's about to leave so this has come as a bit of a shock. we're on a speedway holiday with the warriors being in the middle of it , i actually picked this week as the eagles were on the island but as you know pre-booking anything involving speeding is risky with our weather and it's bad enough to waste fuel and tolls etc never mind ferry crossings and accommodation. we did the peter craven memorial . atm i'm feeling fortunate but very disappointed and we have a good plan b in poole v belle vue but it's not like watching the eagles on the island , not for me anyway.
  10. thanks ruckerroo , but not with all your holiday luggage it wouldn't be.
  11. on a purely selfish front alex , not for me . just tried to book my car on a wightlink ferry to take advantage of one of their deals to find i can't get over to the island at all this afternoon , and if i could i can't get back over tomorrow until 9.00 and we need to be at lakeside for 8.00. this was the first fixture i looked for, i've never pre-booked before , can't believe it.
  12. just tried to get a 'deal' only to find i can't even get a car over to the island today and if i could can't get a return tomorrow until 8.00 when we need to be at lakeside. so thank you for the post bryn as we would have driven all the way to portsmouth for nothing , as we've never pre-booked before. i'm absolutely gutted , this was the first meeting i looked for when the fixtures came out.
  13. i know the brummies are good but it was a shocking performance by the warriors top 5. they were 1/4 of a lap behind in many of the races. the warriors will be sick of danyon by tomorrow night ,hopefully.
  14. fabulous vfm , £20 for 33 races in the scorching sunshine. loved every minute but was beginning to tire the last couple of heats (feeling my age now). thought the track staff did well to keep on top of it all, in heat and wind like that . must be such a fine line between over watering and wreaking the next few heats and watering enough to stop the dust. sounds like i should have had the fish and chips. just realised this is in the wrong section , drrrrrr.
  15. rang mildenhall this morning , man answered and said the meeting is definately on, the sun is shining and they'll probably need to water the track, too late for us now as we intended going to buxton , it's a bit late to set out now. the weather is making a mess of our holiday tour , we were doing the N.L. pairs , then buxton , now it means instead of a 1 hr drive from buxton it's a 4hr drive up to belle vue then down to leicester . best laid plans ehhhh.
  16. bbc website had light and heavy showers for 7/8 hrs for this afternoon and this evening for the last few days , must have changed their minds . to late for me though , off to plymouth instead. best of luck to adam and jake.
  17. after years of hearing about this legend 'soldier boy' i've finally got a sighting of him recently , on a video of a test match from belle vue . there's a team meeting/huddle on track and s boy is shouting to peter collins about telling the team what to do . is s boy still around ?
  18. why is poole v belle vue on a thursday ? was going to do poole then i.o.w on my holiday tour , that's billhooked now
  19. the eagles will need to have all the luck to go their way to do that without ellis i think.
  20. if buxton break 30 i'll be surprised. i didn't think the brummies could be stronger than last year , WRONG !
  21. i haven't been to a 4 tt for years but guess it's longer than a usual meeting. what time is the meeting likely to be over ?
  22. 1) KENNY CARTER 2) BRUCE CRIBB (on his ice racing bike) 3) NICKI PEDERSEN 4) STEVE GRESHAM 5) '90's TOMASZ GOLLUB 6) ROMAN MATOUSEK 7) FRANK SMART that should give them second thoughts if they ever think of relocating.
