  1. i hope that choice was for which one to spoon mint sauce on and not what came into my mind first
  2. spot on No1 , ellis is joining redcar for next season.
  3. says in the s/star that 'most' meetings next season will be run on saturdays.
  4. reported on the plymouth page , seems Ellis has tweeted that he will announce himself on friday the team that he is riding for next season , does this lessen the chances of it being Eastbourne ?
  5. i think if you would like ben hopwood back next year i wouldn't worry if i was you . been around long enough not to hold grudges and between what he said after it happened and the reception he received from fans every time one of his many teams were in opposition or guested , if the dugards want him back he'll be back for sure .
  6. not so sure there will be an increase in teams , rumours are bowden bid for plymouth isn't the prefered package and so they might not be dropping down , if they don't should be the same number as last season ? and that's if the storm are running as i haven't heard anything concerning them. but what i do wonder is how many riders are in the pool to pick from as there seemed to be someone announcing their retirement every other week last season. with you all the way there , my dvd collection will be getting a hammering for the next 5 months. good to see georgie back with the eagles. hopefully a few more on the way soon.
  7. i'd prefer georgie wood to georgie white , but how about richard andrews back instead of cottham ?
  8. you will find what you want on the CLEANCUT SPORTS website , they have 8 different price packages for that weekends action so they will have exactly what you want. see also my pm.
  9. you're right if they called them the creepies from crawley.
  10. he did indeed , as said in no 8 post , i got it completely backwards about plymouth . all i was saying about lakeside was that they were going to have a n.l. team last year but never did so . never mentioned that they were entering p.l.
  11. even though they are one of the development sides belle vue might have something to say about it next season if they build a team around bewley and bickley especially if they can resolve any problems with lawlor .
  12. i didn't when i posted , but i've just been reading the plymouth website and i had got it completely backwards i thought mike bowden said he wanted to stay in the P.L. but as you've pointed out he will take them into the N.L. thanks.
  13. mike bowden has said plymouth will be in the premier next season if he's in charge. we went with all this from lakeside last season and they dropped out of the running late on so don't hold your breath with them.
  14. don't think he'd be at 2 after the first averages lawlor and jenkins would be higher by then.
  15. if they couldn't/wouldn't run the n.l.pairs this ones got no chance.
  16. what do you think transmits the power from the engine through the chain to the back wheel ? i think you'll find it's called a clutch.
  17. very much like kings lynn with regard to the n.l. pairs.
  18. i'd just like to echo one of the things you say in your post. the mallets annoyed a lot of people when involved under tim stone's reign so that was their attitude when they took over and despite putting on track the best wasps team for over 10 yrs they didn't come back and everybody knows what happened then, so it's o.k. to take the moral high ground but it can also lead to cutting one's nose off to spite one's face. it's certainly worth thinking about, so good advise.
  19. it's a bit of a shame that they seem have wasted a number of days before putting this statement out as there might have been time to switch it had it been decided straight after the second postponement .
  20. since when ? every time there's a difficult track everyone says it effects the home team. do you ever get from behind your computer and watch any speedway.
  21. i really need specsavers , first glance i thought this said "i'd be lost without my grannie"
  22. full respect to max clegg tonight , no bitching about the weather , track or if the meeting should have been run at all , just beaten by a better team on the night. no wonder he's so well thought of.
  23. there must have been only 2 in july as well as i remember 2 spells of 3 weeks and 4 weeks where riders hadn't been on the track.
  24. according to non speedway fans we should all be committed
