make that 5 , i was lucky. i happened to be collecting at a customers house who is the only speedway fan on my round who told me.

that's upped the ante from a meaningless cobweb blower . whoever's idea it was , pat on the back time. might still be a challenge but now it's a real meeting/s.

one of the old eastbourne ones just a gold eagle on a blue background but it was like a german or polish eagle. -
not sure if this is the same thing but we had an offer of a magic free box , we gave it back the next day , couldn't watch or record any channels other than the one you were watching and couldn't get BT sports if i remember right . cheap but totally useless if there's more than one person in the house.

i've got a short thought out plan of action for you. invest in a couple of bloody huge rottweilers and two very long chains , bar-stewards deserve all they get.
-
says 'attempted' break in so hopefully no where near as bad as the previous time. they really need to catch them, somehow.
-
you are wrong i'm affraid , they know full well , they just don't give a phutt . they can't see peoples tears from behind their piles of money.
-
i can understand the relief , even euphoria of fans to finally see real progress instead of rumours and promises but is a Premier Lge strength Peter Craven Memorial (at best) a fair exchange for any fan who has held on to their ticket to help the club , remembering that the original line-up was probably not even bettered by the british g.p.

so much for having to sign a 3 pointer 'cos there was no one left , what a signing for the hitmen.

isn't the choice of the earlier time going to be down to having the better track surface for the senior team ?

premiere inns have a very similar rule.

hi mattwitch , i've sent you a P.M. -
not sure why you needed to point out the difference in race days as if they were both saturday or both sunday tracks they would clash every week . but yes i hadn't taken into account eastbournes later start.

absolutely right CUFC & T.B. , the way the time disappears if fans think there's plenty of time April will become May, will become June etc plus it will show any potential buyers of the backing they will get. surely someone will come in but that's probably what every fan of every now defunct club thought. -
looks like newcastle fixtures will clash for most of the first month and most of the last month but only about once a month in between.
-
they're a massive improvement on last year. too much of the sponsors for my liking but that's modern times for you, in one word 'snazzy'.
-
bit like the story of goldilocks , the first season they were a bit bright , last season they were a bit dark , next season are just right.
-
not me , if it was a different club and the belle vue promotion were waiting to see if they could pick up one or two of the best prospects in british speedway wouldn't you think they were doing their job ? besides just read that belle vue will be running a team with or without coventry's input so just enjoy the team announcements as it looks likely to be a corker.

not so sure Mark can improve his average but as long as it doesn't drop against some of the no.1's he'll be racing against he won't be doing badly . i can see the other 6 all improving . worried ? i'm always worried that we could have a start like last season .
-
i think it was only last season that someone coined nicki pedersen as "marmite" and i think nicki himself would enjoy it if it stuck .

Michael Coles Testimonial 2/10/92 At Edinburgh
gee jay replied to cityrebel's topic in Years Gone By
that's a shame cityrebel , only last week i bought the dvd of the rerun of the meeting 9 days later on the 11th. hope someone can help. -
as i replied to m1965 i certainly wouldn't say he won't but i would have been pleased if he finished somewhere around 6 so if he can average 8 it's going to be a good year for fans and a brilliant year for the lad himself.
