It seems to me that Speedway in this country is in a pretty bad state. The number of people the vast majority of teams get through the door makes being a promotor near on impossible I would have thought. I'm afraid, in terms of the paying public it just can't compete with what's on offer elsewhere. Facilities at most venues are, to say the least poor. The way the whole thing is presented is something like what was happening in the 1970S. Stupid rules that people who were going in the 1960s don't understand let alone new punters. The whole experience is old-fashioned and dated. I know it's not a fair comparison, and a lot of money has been thrown at it. But, The 100 is an old fuddy-duddy sport that has been reinvented and offers just fantastic entertainment and value for money for the whole family. ........ But, this is the kind of thing that speedway is up against, I know which one will win.

It's been discussed till the cows come home . As I said it is what it is. On occasions it can produce some decent racing. It is much improved compared to what it was. Personally I think there are only a couple of real top tracks in the UK. The majority seem to be very very similar.

It has improved compared to how it once was, it was originally truly dreadful. However, it's still far from being a decent track, and unless major work is done on it it's how it will remain. So .......... it is what it is.

In fairness. We don’t know what kind of deal Leicester speedway has with the company that takes care of it for them. Could be that the outlay on Leicester’s part is minimal, if anything, with a guaranteed return. Who knows.

With the greatest respect. It’s not exactly rocket science is it. There are a million company’s on line who produce custom made merchandise for radio stations , bands , football teams etc.

Why would anyone in their right mind source out the merchandise to a third party.

I think Dan Thompson would do a job for you at reserve. Once he got fully dialled into the track. He’s a great prospect just a thought.

I think it’s fair to say Mr Nicholls will be riding. I don’t think having to appear on the telly is a valid reason not to ride. Don’t think he wants a ban plus to lose a shed load of dosh. Mind you, this is speedway, so who really knows

5.46pm Thursday night. And not a thing about the Eastbourne meeting on the Leicester website. No mention that we have a guest, who he is, why we have one. Nothing. Speedway never stops astounding me.

Can’t see many teams getting close to Leicester particularly at home. Very strong team with the changes.
