LEICESTER are pleased to confirm there will be NO road closures or diversions in place near the stadium this evening.The club have received notification from Leicester City Council that the start of the planned roadworks on a section of Beaumont Way are to be put back by a day, due to the fact that we are staging a major event at the Pidcock Motorcycles Arena, Beaumont Park.Therefore, access arrangements for the main stadium car park and for parking at Tesco will be as normal for tonight’s meeting.

The situation has been explained and why it has happened. That is unfortunate, I agree. The meeting will not be at another track, it will be at Leicester. Get some perspective, the meeting will go ahead as soon as all the work has been completed. It is also worth bearing in mind that the Leicester track curator was taken to hospital. Is it really worth time and energy repeating the same things over and over. ?

LEICESTER Speedway are devastated to announce that Sunday’s Grand Final double-header has been postponed.Despite our best efforts the track is simply not drying out and cannot be made raceable by this evening.The club will now be bringing in a motorway blade in order to re-lay the circuit.Details of a re-staging date for this week will follow later today. .
