  1. Driving on the road with drink or drugs in your system is illegal, precisely because they are the opposite of performance enhancing. That is what the USA team on the 80s were accused of using, according to Simmos autobiography the Brits threatened to refuse to race unless testing was introduced. Potentially improved reaction times, and certainly a lack of fear. Can see arguments either way here. It's not really in the sports interests for a heap of riders to pick up bans when the testing scheme is rolled out. So, give notice of the testing regime being started (why was it not already in place!?!?), but from then on testing should be random with no warnings. Obviously testing obviously in place to some extent with the Dudek and Ward bans, is this just a new testing regime for the UK? Alcohol and drug testing for all riders before each meeting would seem the ultimate way to stop it, but if that is not economicallyl viable, you would expect perhaps two riders per team could be randonly sampled each and every meeting?
  2. Do you even need to ask? Hoping for a narrow aces win, but could easily go to either side by up to 10. Need zagar to fire.
  3. Checked the regulations. Prize money is based on team finishing position. That is paid to the national federations. So can see why tai may be miffed at getting just an equal share of that pool. Similarly Greg may have figured usa were going to finish 7th regardless, so riding wasn't going to impact the 10k usd prize money to be shared amongst the squad. Fwiw team GB picked up 20k usd for finishing 2nd.
  4. Do riders not get paid points money by bsi/fim? Is this a "top up" by natiional governing body?
  5. If it's not D'Arcy he's gone to a huge effort to make a fake page, as is friends with a load of people you would expect D'Arcy to have. The comment could be taken as sarcastic or just stirring. Real question is is that the real John Hyam posting on that fb page 😂
  6. So tai gives fans a year's notice he won't be riding is "mugging the fans off."But Hancock withdraws at the last minute, when fans have already paid and expected him to be riding, but isn't? Staggering!
  7. Coventry didn't want garritty to stay at reserve. They simply wanted him to start the season at reserve. He would have been promoted to 2nd string after a month, and the team would have been play off contenders meaning he would likely have got more meetings.
  8. S worrall garritty Ellis starke bates are surely all examples of the ftr scheme working
  9. A pretty poor apology tbh. Blaming have it all on the weather... Imagine the policy is there to help cash flow management, given clubs will have incurred costs. I'd also think it's possibly not legal to refuse to refund cash if someone requests it?
  10. Offering someone 10 quid an hour on race nights when it rains is hardly the same as running a sizeable business on zero hour contracts!?!
  11. Yep. Since returning from the ban there seems no effort to contribute meaningfully, just attempts to pick battles and seemingly oblivious to the argumentative tone he's using.
  12. Or is it simply that Greg is riding better now than at any other time in his career?
  13. Which rule is that? Can you quote or copy and paste the relevant para? And as he is 7th in the averages, surely the rr was misused?
  14. You have a promoter who is in favor of transparency?
  15. Would be interested to know what Ellis averages this season as a 2nd string compared to garrity.
  16. Which bit? And where in the rules does it mention a facility for a number 8?
  17. Some footage of it on youtube
  18. OK missed that. Can you confirm where it says you can get a facility for your number 8? Or are you saying kl have re declared their team with huck en beck in for nki?
  19. And scbs point is (I think): where in the rules does it say you can get a facility for a number 8. And where does it statr a rider not having a license qualifies for a facility?
  20. Guess you can't get more transparent than blatant cheating?
  21. What's wrong is that he signed for wolves not Poole...
  22. Asset rides for own team. Sounds a bit like a squad system to me. Anyone know of any club whose promoter is advocating a squad system?
  23. Poole and wolves both stronger than belle Vue on paper now I would say. But fortunately the title will be settled on the track. Only Alanis Morissette would find that ironic...I think "coincidentally" may be the word you are looking for.
