But the fact is he did ride. I imagine 90% of riders are riding with dome form of injury. Surely the measure here should be whether it is sufficiently serious to prevent them from riding? And surely long term should be assessed with period expected out from the date the change is made, not backdated to when first incurred. Logic would say that long term in the context of play offs would mean not riding worldwide between the date the change was made and the 2nd leg of the final. Surely noone can dispute that that is the intention of the rule?

Ok burnt man to go over explicitly what is wrong with sum of your post. Averages are based on a rider having 4 heats. That equates to a 14 heat meeting. So to have a "winning team " you need your riders to average 43, being one more than 42. Now this year's limit was set at 40.5. However, most reserves had their starting averages lowered beyond what they achieved. Lets say that equates to 1.5 points. So your point limit is usual to what you need to achieve to get a draw. What you need then is an improvement of .14 points per rider, less if the riders improving will generally race in heat 15. That equates to roughly a 2.5% improvement per rider. Now do you see why people weren't taking you seriously, when you have the fundamentals of averages wrong? -
I imagine he will start 2017 as favourite, ahead of emil, Hancock, Doyle and dudek.

Out of interest, how is he able to use swear words "that he doesn't know"?Surely being able to use in an appropriate context words that you don't even know shows an excellent grasp of the English language. -

Excellent post henry. The other thing I would add is that the whole point of an assessed average is it should mirror what the rider is likely to average. 50% chance if scoring higher 50% chance of scoring lower seems right, so average of 8 sounds good. Bearing in mind that your top two riders get an extra ride in heat 15 and therefore if they can hit an average of 8 over rides your team is getting in effect an extra .5 out of them assuming a 42 point limit And again the simple solution is if they ride top flight sweden or Poland, and have not ridden in uk in previous two seasons, they should come in on that average (or midpoint of the two if they ride both). -

Emil rather than g laguta. A 6 not a 7 as he is not a GP rider. Poole fans have said lindback should be a 4.15 and Ellis a 3, so would suggest s worrall should also be a 3 and we take lindback on the 4.15 from his time at the aces. So tai, emil, zmarzlik, dudek, g laguta, lindback and s worrall should come in a shade under 40.5. Sorted. -
So when you said "just the one" you were lying or ignorant? Or lying pretending to be ignorant to protect matt's privacy?

Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...
waiheke1 replied to Ace no.5's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It would be true though that of a pole was brought in, aj could not ride the 2nd leg. Doubt the pole would have come cheap. Tbh r/r at home and aj/kk away is about as strong as you could realistically hope for. For all the criticism of r/r kk as guest was probably the only stronger option. Unless dudek/zmarzlick/janowski/pawlicki were available and willing to ride for an non extortionate fee. -
British Speedway As A Brand....

Where are all these riders going to come from? Basically you are saying you want the bl to be full of journeyman brits, young brits, or young aussies who want to try to make it before they get fixed up in Poland. So not sure you have enough riders for a decent sized top flight, let alone a second tier of brit riders. I presume all will be part time, as I imagine you are going to get crowds of a few hundred. And no sky deal. And likely no promoters. -
And you must have been born the year of their previous title win then!

It is often impossible to disprove a negative.

Really? I think the format is about right, other than possibly the issue of host being sees ed to the final.Like it a lot more than the early 80s wtc where you had two rubbish teams in the final. Or the mid 80s 3 match series. Racing at the swc tends to be very good. How would u realistically improve it?

It's not that long ago of course that transfers in football were permitted at any time in the season, and city or united could do exactly that. And I emergency loan facility was removed only this season. -
Tbf the local organisers did manage to avoid a fixture clash with women's basketball, so you can't criticise them too much...

So what was the official logic. And was there any critical response from the Star. Did they get Matt Ford to come up with the headline? -
That would be a whoosh wouldn't it...

Bump. Because someone asked about text gate and I can't Copy this post to that thread on my phone.

Beauty of pairs is minor countries can put out a half decent (literally) pairing. Likes of Hancock, Vaculik and zagar would be capable of single handedly steering their nation to the final on a good day. And a max in the final plus the odd point chipped in by their partner could be enough for a medal.
