Belle Vue National Stadium

And does their BSPa bond go towards paying any outstanding amounts owed to riders? -
Keep seeing gomolski coming up on these suggested line ups. surly poole fans would rather have kurtz or Ellis on comparable averages?
-
And what about Ritchie worrall. garritty. Bjarne. All on significantly higher averages than Ellis. 7 would be below howarth. Fact is Ellis is on a fair average. not a bargain.but not too high either. Remember, on average every rider will drop 16% this season. So on a 7.8 you need Ellis to average 6.5 ish to represent decent value. He is more than capable of doing that
-
Proof that you can name a decent side with a 12+ rider in it.Klindt is going to be vet much in demand. Lambert z2, rose and huckenbeck all good value as well.
-
Steve I would normally agree. and the premises sidecwould start as favourites. BUT look at those sides I built. AND in fact swap fricke and 2pter for summers and Wilkinson. ONE SIDE built to 40 one to 50, and I reckon the first one is stronger.

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season
waiheke1 replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree he had a good season and would be a decent signing. But feel the likes of Newman rose and Ellis offer better value on their respective averages. -
But you can put together a good 40 point team that is better than a poor 50 point team. Bjerre batch sclein Klindt b kurtz 2x2 pointers Vs R worrall garritty b pedersen fricke howarth sarjeant 2 pointer. Both teams built close to the limit. are you saying that 2nd team is guaranteed to win?

Most In-demand Riders For The 2017 Season

Ellis better than Starke imo and far more potential for improvement. Ellis on a 7.8 or starke on a 6.6 is a tough call and would depend on what you could use the extra point on. That to me indicates Ellis average is about right. -
Reckon this is the way to go. or if batch is at Poole bring in bjerre and s lambert for batch and kerr.

Surely holder could stay without a visa if he can show he has the means to support himself? Aussies can visit the uk without a visa if not intending to work. he would then surely just need to leave the country every x days, which wouldn't be an issue if he is flying to Poland every week?

There is noone close to as good as Klindt on that average.

mine is 18440km away, so you have nothing to complain about ;-)

Premiership Confirmed Signings 2017
waiheke1 replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Tbf in the mid 80s Oxford would have used 25% of their team building allowance on Hans, and it worked out ok for them. And that was before the introduction of the nominated heat, which means a star number one is more valuable as they can take 5 rides -
given only 4 riders who were regulars last year are in the gp in 17, not sure you can say most teams are accommodating gp stars. agree most sides will be weak at reserve though. BUT note Leicester need to drop about points to fit the 50 point limit. And I can see Klindt Hougaard and starke being in demand from other teams.

Would love to see that 79 WTC final, nz speedway's finest hour. -
Leave out fricke and go for joonas and Nicholls? No true number one, but most teams wont, and that's a solid team from 1-6.
-
No. Not for many years. Lambert is still a bargain on his average.
-
Ok so 7m is payable over 60 years and 0.65m over 24? So 7kish per meeting compared to 5kish at the old place? If those are the repayments it seems odd there were such financial issues? especially given that the last released accounts appeared to show a very healthy bs?
-
Have seen numerous people post that the rolling pl average per the green sheets is incorrectly calculated and that 7.35 should be the figure
-
Absolutely. 7m over 64 years vs 8m over 24 years is an immense difference. IS it still interest free?Hopefully the new promotion can negotiate a longer repayment period. OTHERWISE council risk an 8m unoccupied stadium. And speedway loses the best venue in the country.
-
Thing is if you start manually adjusting averages everything becomes subjective. The above shows Ellis at 7.8 is correct, as he sits mid-range for value at that figure. Klindt is a 5.4ish, which is his PL average from last year, hence why he is the best value of any rider.
-
reversion to a conventional format, and likely use of 2/3 point brits to get under the points limit, i think the racing this year will be less competitive than in 2016.
-
ok, have had a look at which riders represent the best value when you compare their weighted avrage per scb ( guide as to "real" performance) and compare to their 2017 official figure. Assuming that Woffy is not available for the EL, the strongest team you can build is: Lindgren Swiderski Lambert Klindt Masters S Lambert Clegg that's a team you would expect to have scored about 47 points per meeting in the FY16 EL Conversions to show value (lower the better) (and I would note that this should be taken as a guide only, as Schlein and Watt for example clearly have potential to vastly improve on last year's perfomances): 1 Nicolai Klindt 1.01 2 Tai Woffinden 1.17 3 Simon Lambert 1.21 4 Piotr Swiderski 1.28 5 Robert Lambert 1.29 6 Sam Masters 1.33 7 Max Clegg 1.34 8 Kim Nilsson 1.35 9 Chris Harris 1.36 10 Fredrik Lindgren 1.36 11 Josh Bates 1.36 12 Krzysztof Buczkowski 1.37 13 Jason Doyle 1.37 14 Richard Lawson 1.38 15 Krzysztof Kasprzak 1.38 16 Edward Kennett 1.39 17 Niels K Iversen 1.39 18 Matej Zagar 1.39 19 Chris Holder 1.40 20 Danny King 1.41 21 Hans Andersen 1.41 22 Patrick Hougaard 1.41 23 Craig Cook 1.42 24 Troy Batchelor 1.43 25 Joonas Kylmakorpi 1.43 26 Andreas Jonsson 1.45 27 Adam Roynon 1.49 28 Scott Nicholls 1.50 29 Szymon Wozniak 1.51 30 Kyle Newman 1.51 31 Jacob Thorssell 1.52 32 Josh Grajczonek 1.54 33 Nick Morris 1.54 34 Lewis Rose 1.56 35 Adam Ellis 1.58 36 Kai Huckenbeck 1.59 37 Max Fricke 1.60 38 Mads Korneliussen 1.61 39 Justin Sedgmen 1.64 40 Peter Karlsson 1.66 41 Steve Worrall 1.67 42 Lewis Bridger 1.67 43 Jason Garrity 1.68 44 Paul Starke 1.68 45 Charles Wright 1.75 46 Joe Jacobs 1.77 47 Rohan Tungate 1.79 48 Kacper Woryna 1.80 49 Brady Kurtz 1.81 50 Bjarne Pedersen 1.82 51 Josh Auty 1.84 52 Mikkel B Jensen 1.86 53 Kyle Howarth 1.87 54 Richie Worrall 1.88 55 Lewis Kerr 1.93 56 Robert Mear 2.00 57 Aaron Summers 2.01 58 Nikolaj Busk-Jakobsen 2.03 59 Rory Schlein 2.07 60 Davey Watt 2.09 61 James Sarjeant 2.17 62 Stefan Nielsen 2.23 63 Sebastian Ulamek 2.31 64 Ashley Morris 2.42 65 Carl Wilkinson 2.54 66 Grzegorz Walasek 3.58 Interesting that despite the complaints out of Poole about Ellis' average, he shows up mid-pack for value, and given his age clearly has the ability to improve. If Brady Kurtz average is actually 7.65 (as SCB and others seem to think), that makes his ratio 1.5. Poole riders on the whole actually look goof value, Aces riders not so much.
