  1. Absolutely. But I think Robbie falls into one of the two categories of riders likely to drop the highest percentage. Those with pl averages in the 8s who are really a top flight 2nd string at best, and edr from last year who averaged under 3 in the el (despite two reserve heats) but are coming in on 5+ point pl averages.
  2. Most pl sides were charging only a couple of quid less than El sides last year. Going up to the new top flight it's not surprising if they increase prices, so for anyone to hl have expected an El price decrease is naive in the extreme. The weakening of the league is about cost cutting, reducing the price a couple of quid is just likely to see revenue drop as well.
  3. That looks weak to be fair in that case, as there isn't really any quality around available around that 5 point mark.Too much pressure on Ellis, and you will still be weak at reserve. People will blame it on going top heavy, but really I'd say it's just poor team building. When I've suggested teams with two two pointers at reserve people have said it's too weak, but I can see the ten points used by lykke/other delivering only 5/6 or so a match, compared to the 2/3 I'd expect 2 pointers to cumulatively deliver. Even josh g as a 3rd hl imo would have been a better option, even if it meant downgrading bellego slightly.
  4. Robson would be the first poor signing imo, could see him dropping 3 points off that average.
  5. Assuming morris is next signed, name or break for the team imo is the 5th signing. You could still fit a batch or a Schlein, which would give you a competitive side. But it would also be easy to fill the remaining points with riders who don't offer a lot, in which case you could end up a hl short and with weak reserves. Ellis is a good signing, and bellego could be ok, but I reckon you ideally want them as a strong 2nd string pairing, rather than rotating as your 3rd hl.
  6. Joonas plus a 2 pointer is still going to bring you more points than most other combinations on those points. As a comparison howarth and Williamson or fisher and ash morris would not be much less. Genuinely can't see too many better ways to spend the points u gave left, assuming you flgo with Freddie masters Thorssel and Klindt and clegg, who are two of the best value signings in that point range. Not a lot of value in the 5 and 6 pointers, unless you could get say Schlein plus Bewley.
  7. You said to tyretrax, who is a Glasgow fan, don't expect to get the swc every year?
  8. Not sure olsen is under rated. Think most would agree he was the 2nd best rider of his era and in the top 10 post war riders. Under a gp system he would likely have won more medals, but same or fewer world champs? How good were Crimps opening 3 GP rides as a wildcard at Hackney?
  9. So gordon is presumably solely liable for the debts, unless Morton was required to offer personAl security in his role as director?
  10. Tbh I suspect if any case went to court the whole asset system would collapse. To class as assets contractors, whose contracts seemingly allow either party to effectively "terminate for convenience" seems dubious at best from a legal and/or accounting stand point.
  11. What about belle vue speedway limited which had significant debts in the last filed accounts?
  12. I don't believe anyone has officially "gone bust." I believe BSPa revoked the license (presumably issued to the three directors of the relevant companies, bit not sure?) due to financial concerns. But to my knowledge none of the companies have been declared insolvent nor any of the promoters declared bankrupt.
  13. Big call to leave crump out of the top 10 imo, given his record of 10 consecutive podium finishes. Not something I would think even the likes of olsen and craven would have achieved under a gp system imho.
  14. How does that correlate with the statement that the MCC received no rent payments in 2016. If bsi paid the rent backlog to June - and tbh stadium rent would seem to be the only unpaid item capacity le of preventing the swc beING run, along possibly with say ambulance service- then surely MCC have been paid at least a chunk of the first year rent installments. The fact that this was paid directly by a third party in a sub-let type arrangement doesn't alter this.
  15. I think odds on means who owned belle vue? Directors were Morton, Gordon and Carswell.
  16. No combinaries of those looks particularly appealing. I'd try to make peace with joonas to give you four genuine hl plus Klindt, with clegg and a 2-3 pointer at reserve
  17. Exactly. I'd say if they are the top 2 that is the opposite of top heavy.
  18. That would surely only be 1 point? Are u saying they are not stronger than riders on 2/3 point averages?
  19. Bramford and morley could be ok at reserve, I expect many sides will have a 2 or 3 pointer in there. Watt would be a much better option than Robson imo.
  20. Often disagree with Steve brum but a troll he is not. Surely this repeated naming should be a ban. Maybe if everyone sticks it on ignore it will get bored?
  21. That's a very random apostrophe you've used if you're querying someone's spelling! Or was that what you mean't?
  22. And that's good, because I'm always really worried when your opinion aligns with mine
  23. Not true, you regularly make me laugh my tulip from Poole
  24. But a speedway stadium was constructed. Obviously the intention is for it to be used for years to come. However if it ends up being financially Un viable to continue speedway, I can't see how you can claim the brick payers were in any way misled. In that case it's a big whoosh on me. Ironic that you're the one to point it out isn't it
  25. I was under the impression speedway was held at the NSS in 2016. Possibly I am mistaken?
