What about the three league ruling?

Surely he achieved the required average?

Tom Farndon...the Greatest Speedway Rider Of Them All
waiheke1 replied to customhouseregular's topic in Years Gone By
Gustix loves his speedway!?! When was the last time he said anything positive about it? He does nothing but slag it off. -
ok but your previous post you said neither kk or Hans would improve their average. Now you are saying both will increase by 2 points? Which is it?The people saying holder will lower his average are talking about his 12.5 figure not his 9 point one. Noone thinks holder will average under 9.
-
even without this you would imagine unpaid rent at worst would need repaying over the original period, not "catching up" in form of double rent next season
-
From the outset many posters said that BSPa needed to issue a statement on averages for new riders so that it was transparent (wasn't that what buster promised?). They didn't. Suspect roscoe being told he would be a 5 was because they forgot about the conversion. I'd also say they should next season rule that no foreign rider can start the season lower than say a 6. A good young talent would be signed on that still. But you wouldn't have dross like Graversen or Grondal taking spots that should go to brits. Maybe a 5% reduction for all brits, 10% for those u23?

Top 20 Riders In The World 2016
waiheke1 replied to waiheke1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
U ok today Sid? Normally this is the type of thread where you engage in constructive discussion.I don't care (and I'm sure henry doesn't either) what anyone thinks of my ratings. But if you're going to slap them off, at least give dome reason for it. I've already said for example that Smoli is a real anomaly on mine. I suspect you feel Emil should be higher. Not sure who else looks vastly different to what you'd expect on either list? Anyway, when you're feeling less grumpy,or not in the pop, maybe you could debate it? -
kk and andersen will be higher too though? Or do you not think kk will average more than 8 this year? Kk will increase by more than holder imo. Lambert will increase by more than Hans
-
Exactly. It'd not a strong team, but can understand the logic in spending only what you can afford, showing loyalty to crowd favourites, and having a side who will be tough to beat at home (likely to be thumped away, but that shouldn't impact on gate sizes). I think Graversen is the only signing that has been generally labelled poor, mainly because most feel a young Brit plus a stronger hl would have been a stronger combination.
-
Holder's average will go up? Certainly won't go up on his starting average. If you mean on last years El average, I would say all hl will increase due to the format and the decrease in standard. Odd comment. I will say that holder/lambert is stronger than kk/Hans.

Pretty sure BurntFaceMan is not the same as morrisey fan.I think he did call himself KKS for a while (as a p take on the original kks) and then got his true identity posted on here.

Top 20 Riders In The World 2016

Mine must be too as they are very similar to mine! -
the bjerre who got within a ride of qualifying for the gp series, who performed well in sweden and Poland, and ranked in the top 20-30 riders in the world? Yep that's the one I mean.I reckon more bees fans are happy with sarj than rebels fans happy with Graversen.

Where does Kenny bjerre rank? -
Do u think it is easy for BSPa to find a new promoter to take over a club. Why would someone want to be a speedway promoter. And if the existing promoter owns the lease, how do you propose that the BSPa legally can force this to be transferred to a new promoter?
-
ok. Bjerre and king is a better top 2 than hougarrd/josh g. Basically bjerre and king are both better than any of the Somerset line up. At reserve I expect bates and Allen will score similarly but sarj will outscore Graversen. Bjerre and kerr should roughly match wright and starke. Your 3rd hl will possibly outscore garritty.
-
Really? I haven't seen anyone post negatively about the rye house side. Consensus seems to be that they will be in l the mix for the playoffs. Certainly haven't seen sny belle vue or Leicester fans negative about the rye team. I think batch will do better in relation to his starting average than Robbo does. 20 quid on it to charity?
-
OK. So I still don't understand what rules you are going to abuse and how? That statement really doesn't answer the question.
-
Garritty is not one of the Coventry top two? Bjerre and king is stronger than tungate/josh. I agree at 3rd heatleader Hougaard is stronger than garritty.
-
Ok but you said "the team would be completely different in July. may as well abuse the ridiculous rules." Which rules are u going to abuse and how?
-
Cocentry have a stronger top 2, stronger reserves and comparable 2nd strings? Why would u think it is better than Coventrys team building?
-
Which ridiculous rules?
-
Bjerre is a genuine number 1 in this league. He'll average 9+ I reckon. He had an excellent 2016 season.
-
Main issue is the liss of revenue to the club's. Yes people can print their own, but I suspect many speedway fans either don't own a printer or can't be bothered. As an analogy, it's like the difference between allowing fans to bring a sandwich in them, vs allowing an additional vendor to sell hot food in the stadium in competition with the original vendor.
-
I very much doubt Klindt will be at reserve at the end of the year. But I expect in his time at reserve he will average more than any other reserve does Good scores sure. But I doubt we will see reserves scoring say 15 from 6 or 7 rides. Last year a reserve could do that do without meeting a heatleader. And the heat format meant you could end up with a hl quality rider at reserve racing only edr and 2nd strings.
