What they should have done imo is used scbs weighted El averages as a starting point,applied a suitable conversion for pl averages, and then posdibly applied a further weighting so that 42 was a realistic figure to build to. Them there would have been no need to change team building points limit mid season.What they've ended up with is a farce where rules are being made up as they go along. The only solution I can see is re declarations must be done to within the new points limit I. E. No like for like swaps if the team is over 42 points. So Ellis couldn't be ditched for another 7 pointer for example

If the 2nd strings can score a dozen they've done their job, and you'd be expecting the reserves to contribute 3 between them. Surely fans should have been offered a partial refund. Those that wanted to treat their admission fee as purely a donation to darcy would not take up the offer. Those who viewed it as a speedway meeting they were paying to see could have had their money back (in part). Everyone happy and fans willing to attend next year even if the weather looked dicey.
