Polish Ekstraliga Is Flexing Its Muscles
waiheke1 replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
How is it unfair on riders? They can sign up for the highest available salary but have some restrictions.Or ride everywhere else without restriction. Which part is unfair? -
Autrey Could He Have Been World Champion In 1979.?
waiheke1 replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
This.In a gp system would surely have been world champion in 1980, or even with just a shade more luck with the draw for the final. In 81 would surely have finished runner up to penhall but for 2 ef. -
Or to sign 7 riders not currently riding in el/Pl with El averages from prior years, now it seems there will be no multiplier applied? Likes of zagar, AJ, lindback, Tai now on bargain averages. Or actually any top flight rider from Poland could presumably now come in on a 7.

Krsko 2017 - Round 1
waiheke1 replied to kraftwerk's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think people are forgetting that the racing last year was, for the most part, brilliant. Not sure why people are suggesting major changes on the basis of one dreadful meeting on a terribly prepared track... -
Wolves V King's Lynn 1st May 6.00 Pm
waiheke1 replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Or at this stage do u wait and strengthen when the new averages come out? As it stands how many points do kl have to play with? Knowing holder will put 2-3 points on the sub 6 average he would have? -

Did Newman? Otherwise I guess Kerr fulfils that criteria. -
Team And Riders, Points Changeover ?
waiheke1 replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It would be a competitive El side if u had a quality signing as that 7-8 point rider.I don't think anyone's claiming it is a title winning side, but would be very tough to beat st home and competitive away. -

Or wait til the new averages come out and replace graversen with a number 1 instead? They will have plenty of points available -

Looking at the draw brings home what a fantastic line up it is this season. No easy heats. -

Put on ignore and/or stop responding -
Surely better to wait for the new averages and replace graversen with a hl with the available points? Would make no sense to get rid of tungsten on a 4pt average
-
No, the person who tried to argue Sedgemans statistics against SCB was wrong.

You asked the question and had it answered!?! Why ask if you don't want the answer? -
Belle Vue V Somerset - 1/5/17 , 12pm
waiheke1 replied to WestGorton1884's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's what Poland have done, yet plenty of people on here have whinged about it. Realistically if you want riders to be loysl and commit to every meeting you need to: Plan fixtures sensibly Not terminate riders contracts if they have a few bad meetings Pay more than they can get elsewhere -
Belle Vue V Somerset - 1/5/17 , 12pm
waiheke1 replied to WestGorton1884's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In fsirness it used to happen back in the 80s that both sides would have a hl missing and agree to replace then with local juniors. -
Exactly. Just awful fixture planning.

Belle Vue V Leicester 21/4/17 7.30pm
waiheke1 replied to stevethelion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
50/42 (or I would argue 50/41) is correct. 1.4 is the artificial figure. You are neglecting that the league this year is weaker than last year. -
I think people are mis reading John Berrys statement. I think he is acknowledging that it was not fair, and that it DID help teams close the gap better than the current system. I think he's like many of us, he preferred the old system but NOT because it was more "fair."
