Was the dispensation when they used cook as guest just for that meeting? -

Cant u derstand people giving ward a hard time here. Surely someone carrying a major injury csn ride a gp once a fortnight a lot easier than four meetings a week? I have no issue with a rider prioritizing gps, and as an aces fan wouldnt if it was zagar we were talking about either. poole got special dispensation. It was discuseed robustly around the time they used cook as a guest. -

Should be a very comfortable home win. But people calling the brum team a pl side - they would walk the pl with that line up, no doubt. -
Still cheaper than at the nz gp after they started running low on beer and so put the price up - over 6 euros with nothing back on the can. As most have said, the racing very poor and crowd well down on what we had been led to believr in the buikd up - phil did u really say with a straight face 75% full? I actually still enjoyed it though. Tai walking away from his first heat crash and going on to almost win the gp, zagar winning, good battle for the semi final spots, harris looking much more competitive - just me or did both he and tai look a lot quicker this gp? Let down after two excellent gps so far but shaping to be an intriguing series.

Under the new format he would be. Four points agsinst nk riders. Prob 2.5 out of 4 against second strings. 1 from 4 against heat leaders. Gives u 7.5.No good as a third heat leader, but would be a strongish second string. Likes of fisher thorssel josh g must be averaging around 7 this season and kennett is as good as them? Or by beating the same riders (plus nl riders) he is doing to average three as a heat leader
-
Kennett is averaging 3 as a heat leader. But he would double that as a second string, which is what swindon need. A good option for swindon imho.
-
The three you name are world class, but never going to be world champ. Think most on here wanted one of the lagutas rather than a second swede as wildcard. And would rather have had say dudek and mjj rather than harris and batch. Its still a much stronger line up than you would have got pretty much any year in the old world finals.

What sort of crowd are they hoping for - 15k?That sounds like pretty good pre sales.

With ward possibly out, and holders form hot and cold, maybe gb have a very slim chance, if tai can get his form sorted. Tai harris cook and king would seem the logical team, or do you try r worrall or lambert going for the future on their home track (last year's for worrall obviously). -

Im no kennett fan what ive said is I think he would average 6 plus as a second string. Being "that good" doesnt mean you will be in hot demand Kennett and barker were always going to struggle under the new format. Dtopping kennett now his average has dropped wiyhout giving a chsnce at second string seems a bad move unless the extrs points are put to good use.Under tge new format a 9 rider and a 3 were always likeky to be much better thsn two six pointers (l a mbert and nki v kennett and barker fir example). But the reason brum built their team was surely down to finances. Not sure enough has changed for the m to now upgrade king to a pedersrn or emil, even if they could attract such s rider. -

Do you really think Kennett would continue to average 3 as a second string? I reckon he would average minimum six. That said covatti should at least average 4. -
In what way would it be relavent?

A six pointer scoring three from a heat leader spot is arguably doing a better job than a 4.5 guy scoring 3 as a second string. As for a nine pointer - who do you suggest that brum can afford and that would be willing to ride here? -

They need rid of pawlicki, and fast befire he ruins wolves season. I think Kennett may now be available as a replacement. -

I take it you ve missed all the posts accusing holder of riding to get his average down! -
But bsi didnt have the option of bringing in a young pole once gollob pulled out. The rules stated it had to go to harris. Not sure if fim or bsi set those rules. Plenty argued that at the time, but in fairness it would have been a huge call not to pick gollob. Can imagine the outcry in poland. See holders at it again trying to get that average down...

Well why has the re declared side not been officially published then?
-
If he has retired, his twitter comments wiuld indicate that this was because he was sacked by poole? surely this makes your argument redundant. If compton is your new signing, surely he needed to be declared BEFORE he moved above smart on the drsft list?
-
But smart has ridden for the pirates since then, without being declared as a guest? And would havecbeen higher ranked thsn compton. Or was the change to have become effective only at 11.59 pm on 30 april? But why then has there been no redeclared team published? surely you can't change your team bssed on svrrsges at a certain date but ask for it to become effective at some future date, at which point a new set of averages are valid making the change in breach of the team building rules?
-
Of course every second string in the competition has, I believe, increased their average this season. Wolves issue has been, as everyone except steve brum expected at tge start of the season, that you dont have a genuine third hest leader, combined with tais unexpectedly poor form. Pawlicki has performed above expectations - everyone knew he wss quality, but he has settled very quickly. The second strings have been as expected, you have decent reserves but Morris perhaps a little disapointing.
