  1. No some riders are great at league level, others just have that ability to raise their game fir big meetings. I dont think its due in anyway to effort.Hsmpel has been the best rider in the world in league speedway, but still doesnt have a titke, anf only made the podium last year due to injuries to others. Bobby scwartz, jan andersson were consistently excellent bl riders who were never going to be good enough to win the title.
  2. Thats the issue a few teams have, this format more than ever requires a strong top two, wheras you have a sokid top five. Of course, there arent necessarily enough genuine number ones available to race in britain, and cost may also be an issue? Potentially you could make the pkay offs winning everything at home and just needing to scrap e the odd awsy point. And I remember aces besting east borne 64-14 back in 84, this side is ay least better than that
  3. Not out of the question that milik could raise his average high enough to be able to swsp for larsen.
  4. Averages this season for those three (exc bp):Magic 6.8 Rory 5.8 Cook 5 6 So magic comfortably ahead of those two on form. Hslf decent 3rd hl probably a fair description of cook in current form, and one of the reasons aces are struggling away is that cook, on starting average, should be one of the top 3rd hl, if not the top.
  5. What is larsens average? A swap in for milik at poole later in the season?
  6. Or email the file to your self, download it on your phone, and carry it wherever you go...
  7. Just imagine how many pages this thread would be if poole were the home team in these circumstances. ...
  8. Tbh, 5 is the toughest number, and there is no real difference in difficulty between riding at 1 or 3. Which is odd as with a re declaration the bspa would normally release a new set of green sheets?
  9. Darcy is ahead in the gp standings.Darcy the better rider in my view, more likely to win a gp title than nki. BUT...in domestic speedway, where consistency is arguably more important tban brilliance, nki is unquestionably the better of the two.
  10. Poole by four to six i reckon, hl and reserves should be quite even but poole second strings likely to be the difference.
  11. Surely its easy enough to copy and paste into excel and then sort as u like? I agree it is desirable for the star to list them, but if you were aware you could get the stats elsewhere , im not sure its a big issue.
  12. Tbf the issue is that the stats dont seem to be readily available on the Internet either.
  13. To be clear Im not saying swindon cheated, and already state d there is no guarantee the aces would have earned a point. But the question is was the correct process followed? Snd were the paying public unnecessarily deprived of 20% of the meeting they had paid to see?
  14. Mp - if youre going to denigrste scbs site, why dont you compile the stats and add them to your rscecard site to really keep the visitor numbers ticking over. Use red font and present thrm in s truly innovative manner.
  15. I see your posts! But to clarify, who agreed? Did bv request at thst point an inspection after heat 12? After heat 10, only bv should have been able to initiate any such thing.
  16. But surely that clause is establish ing who the person is who makes tbe decision (I.e. not yhe referee). There is nothing in that clause which indicates that it takes precedence over the later paragraph stating that only the trailing team can request an abandonment or inspection after heat 10.
  17. Tbf, if there was a track inspection after heat 12 done other than at the request of bv then rules were broken. Its not sour grapes as there is no guarantee aces would have picked up a point. But rules should be followed.
  18. Um, thats what I was saying? If bv didnt request the abandonment surely they have grounds for appeal?
  19. Actually for sky meetings is it the clerk of course or someone who makes the call?Vague memories from the bv poole debacle - the latter one - ftom last year?
  20. So presumably the ref has to make an official report, and tgat report would need to indicate that bv requested the meeting be abandoned. If bv deny msking such a request they csn appeal the result?
  21. Im not sure there is a site that provides those though henry.Scb's excellent speedway stats site does, but they can be a couple of weeks out of date. The star online version doesn't have them either. Dont buy print football mags, but top goalscorer stats are readily available online. Ditto full lists of goalscorers by club. Stats are pretty integral to speedway, so as cricinfo has comprehensive stats, youd hope the star would do tge same, in the somewhat bewildering absence of them on "official" sites.
  22. I think you could have made your point in two sentences. But I agree, I would like to see the "real" 2014 averages also (both with and without bp). Would be interesting to compare the averages of hl to second strings, and compare those figures to starting averages.
