Surely the msin point is that bsi pay 1.5m quid a year to the fim to have rights to run the world champs and swc. If one sport want to run a rival/parralel competition/s ( euro champs and world psirs) surely they should be paying fim an almost equivalent amount. Possibly you could argue a smaller fee as there are less meetings, but then others seem to think bsi make too much money and have therefore been undercharged? And then people would stop the ridiculous claims that this is an anti polish thing, and instead ask the important question, what do fim do with the money.

Who Was The Most Frustrating Rider?
waiheke1 replied to Ommer Mon's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It was Henderson I was referring to, not luckhurst. Apologies, was not clear, but per responses below it seems my recollection was right and he found god snd became a social worker.I think iam thomas said something like "if he wants to help the needy, he can get on his bloody speedway bike and help us." -

Was Penhall,s Retirement The Start Of The Decline In Speedway.?
waiheke1 replied to stratton's topic in Years Gone By
It was before - its league cup from about april. There are a couple of better meetings from hyde rd 82 on youtube, bv v cradley and england v usa, both featuring penhall. But its not a case of amazing racing each and every heat. I'm condtsntly amazed at people bemoaning the quality of the racing in the gps, I think they are consistently good. I watched most of my racing at hyde rd, and while it is the best racetrack of sll time imho, you still got poor races and poor meetings. -

I think you mean TRFKAW -
But if psrents take a child, they, not the child, are likely picking up the bill. With a disabled person, it is likely thst they and not the carer have to pick up the bill. That's a fundamental difference imho. I dont think that clubs should HAVE to offer carers or disabled people concession rate s. But I think it is morally the right thing to do.

And hancock is gary lineker - some people get sick if being told how clean and nice he is.Fwiw I like greg, have friends who know jsdon bunyan and he brought greg round to meet their son whi is a big ffan. Id rather watch nicki or darcy though, no matter how much I may dislike their on and off track behaviour. -
Speedway Livestream 6 Days A Week
waiheke1 replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yes, but at least you must be pleased with the decrease in contrivance and corruption. At lesst the trend is in the right direction - midern speedway so much better in this regard than say in the 70s -
Tbh, having a child is a choice.Having a disabled child or s disability is generally not. I think thats a fundamental difference.

You must be a fan of the chsnge to double point from yhe old tac sub then, seeing as it resultd in far fewer contrived results. And much prefer gps over the old one off finals, as there is a greatly reduced likelihood of collusion or fixed results. -

No, and that wss part of scbs point. The other being which rider is most entertaining and generates most tslking points.Pedersen is the modern day kenny carter in my view, but with three world titles to show for it. -

6pm nz time I think will be 5am uk time -
More speedway available to watch now than ever before. More info available than ever before. A lot of things wrong with speedway, but available viewing/info certainly not one of them.

Is lambert allowed to race, as he will still only be 15? -
Thought thst could be the case - pretty similar to how feel about smudger

Only one there I would query is cox. Surely tai, or even the likes of Doncaster, cross les and phil collins, harris etc. Rank ahead of him? I understand if he's included due to being a personsl favourite.

Hasnt been trailing miles behind (perhaps in the odd race), made the gate in a few races, and has beaten kenny bjerre snd martin vaculik, and had a decent battle with harris in 2012 if I remember correctly. Clearly he is not a gp standard rider, but I think he has performed pretty well. Got the biggest cheer of the night in 2012 when he picked up his point. Would any top riders even be willing to make the trek out here to tske the wild card if offerred?
