  1. and of course in 84 mauger rode home matches only for exeter, with dispensation to use a guest for away matches. This of course wasn't depriving kl fans of seeing mauger in his prime.
  2. WADA can step in if they feel Darcy's ban is too light...
  3. according to wiki he won four leagur titles in germany, one in poland and also rode in sweden for malilla.
  4. I would imagine, given that bl ran as now basically 7 nights a week, that committing to a foreign league that paid less than the bl to be problematic. Much easier, and no doubt lucrative, to pick and choose open meetings around the bl schedule. interesting question, hopefully someone may have some specifics of riders who did.
  5. Phil r -wont quote your lengthy post above but a coupke of things. 1. I believe an fim commitee member did make a statement recently in the swedish press outlining the situation in terms of procedure. A link earlier in the thread. 2. Next time the star decides to print a middlo rant maybe they could ask him these questions A. Initially we were told the darcy camp was stunned there was not a same day decisiin but there would be one in a week. Then we were told they knew the 45 day rule but were told a week because of darcy's visa situation. Now you have said darcy was told they would take as long as they wanted. Which, if any, of the above versions is true. 2. Has darcy pleaded "guilty" or have he and his legal team have disputed any elements of the case? Clearly disputing aspects could lead to a longer process than if only"sentencing" is needed. 3. Do you believe calling fans retarded and other abusive comments on twitter is appropriate given your position in the sport. 4. Do you think your outbursts on twitter and in the press on the darcy issue are helpful to his cause? 5. Darcy has now been involved in four separate incidents involving alcohol that have impacted, or threatened to impact, his career. Are you and poole doing anything to help him with what is clearly an issue, or do you believe he is just a young lad doing what all young lads are doing?
  6. darcy ward style bad habits or on track bad habits?
  7. Either way. What state champ are more than four riders of a decent standard going ti be racing in, given the el riders are hardly likely to do so?
  8. your posts are far better on the Bournemouth Echo.
  9. Additionally peter oakes has been on twitter whingeing about the delays, as has phil on here...it's all very very odd
  10. Birmingham belle vue cradley coventry Halifax eastborne hackney ipswich leicester kings lynn poole reading swindon Sheffield wimbledon Aces typically lined up: L ross l carr c morton p carr peter collins k mckinna a smith p ravn started the season before moving to cradley
  11. quite appropriate to this thread I would have thought. Though it's possible the light may have had too much to drink (or not hydrated enough) rendering it incapable of saying stop or go. Anyway, on to importat things. looks like we will be heading into week 4 of 1, surely due some twitter action to mark the occasion
  12. I've decided that twitter is a bit like american idol. There are some talented people, but the real entertainment comes from those with zero talent, or in the case of twitter, too little brain to be allowed on the internet - the train wrecks. The star have clearly decided that middlo needs to entertain us in print as well
  13. Thats the one sorry dont know how I got date so wrong
  14. hope that doesn't mean a vodka bottle or makeup tube were involved!
  15. will double check the leicester date. Was opening lc match. Maybe it was 9th
  16. Holder can now get at 11/1, he and Greg still seem comfortably the best value imho.
  17. Aces vs leicester april 19 1982 Aces vs hackney june 6 1987 Any help greatly aporeciated
  18. I guess we should just be thankful he didnt retweet the tweet comparing fim ubfavutably to ISIL! I certainly wouldn't hire either middlo s legal brief mate with 26 years experience nor darcy's lawyer with 27 year's experience. The middlo endorsement effect!reckon darcy would have been bettee sticking with his legal team from his case a couple of years back. seriously, who would want middlo doing their pr.as soon as darcy has "clarified" on twitter the timeline, middlo comes out and totally contradicts it! Utter brilliance.
  19. can u categorically state that hancock, pedersen and gundersen were better/greater thsn moore, craven, penhall and collins? I certainly don't think it's clear cut, and think the term "all time great" certainly applies to more than the ten riders you are trying to iimit it to.Conversely, if you are talking about "THE greatEST" then I would actually limit discussion to the five riders who have won 4+ titles.
  20. the bspa as governing body signed off that the riders met the standards. Clearly the ukvi rely on the professional body endorsement - upon doing some checks they found rules being broken and have acted. Wiyhout relying somewhat on industry bodies I imagine ukvi would need to increase their staff manyfold if they had to satisfy themselves on every single application that the endorsement was accurate.
  21. Surely Phil Collins should be the first name on the team list?
