Darcy not back til end of June. Gomolski will be averaging more than 4 by then reducing the extra points available, and 1.3 is not enough to fit ward in anyway. Only way ward will come in as a straight swap is if magic gets his average up to 8.7. Maybe that ward/pawlicki or similar for magic/north may work.

Robins Vs.the Kings Lynn Stars
waiheke1 replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He has a 7.5 starting average, so of course some meetings he will score under 7. Under this heat format most heat leaders will have the odd meeting where they score very low. If kl want to strengthen its porsing I would look at replacing not bjerre. -
Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?
waiheke1 replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Should Portugal drop Ronaldo for turning his back on their domestic league? Argentina drop messi, Wales drop Bale, France drop Ribery, Brazil drop Neymar etc. -

While bjerre's score was disappointing I think there is some over reaction. He won his first ride then had engine problems in his next. He was them beaten by Hans (twice), Harris and howarth, round Swindon you'd probably only expect him to have picked up one at most two points there. -

Tai, bomber and Nichols are all well worthy of places in the pairs. The likes of cook are equal or better than manzares or the Germans/Latvians. -

and of course PC was never the same rider after his injury at cradley in late 1980, a meeting he is adamant should never have gone ahead due to the conditions. -

Poland Cheaper Then Uk For Swc
waiheke1 replied to michaelcroucher's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I can't believe someone could seriously suggest pricing equivalent events the same on UK and Poland. Perhaps you could ask your local why their pints are more expensive than in Poland? Your boss will probably oblige however if you ask to be paid a polish equivalent salary. By the way - are you walking to and from the airport at each end when u go to Poland? -

Would add also that Greg and Nicki may not have been "ring leaders" but rather spokespeople for the riders due to their experience. I seem to recall Ivan mauger being accused of stirring up the riders over an unfit track at the 81 inter continental final, but penhall came out subsequently and said the riders had asked him to be their spokesperson. In that meeting the riders voted 14-2 to abandon the meeting, but the meeting continued. One of the two hqppenned to be ole Olsen, who was also co promoter of the meeting! -

At least it won't be the worst gp this year.... -
Tbf bomber's bikes looked quick which is a big improvement on last year. And he was competitive from the start line. Great to see

Issue for the customer may be that pzm hold off any pay out until any action against bsi is settled. Do fim appoint the meeting officials and if so do bsi have any opportunity to counterclaim citing precedence of meetings completed on worse surfaces (I assume they don't have any such option but maybe someone can confirm). Of course we also don't know yet how accurate the pzm state ment is and whether their contract with bsi precludes them from seeking liquidated damages in any case. Wonder when bsi will make a statement. Before or after Darcy? -

Really don't understand that choice of guest. Surely makes aces weaker in at least 3 heats than r\r? -

Zagar/Nichols should outscore Hans/Harris by 2 or 3. Cook/stead should match king/joonas or outscore by a point or 2. Fricke tovoutscore Robson by 4. Coventry prob score a couple more at reserve. Could still go either way but aces need to win to show they are genuine play off material -

Aces by 6 I reckon so long as their reserves can match the Coventry reserves within a point or two. -
Lucozade monster and red bull all pretty tasty IMO. Agree with two that I'd rather have a single malt. And would seem a certain rider prefers beers to his sponsor's beverage.

Speedway World Cup Team Gb Squad
waiheke1 replied to Gavan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Tai nicholls and Harris are clearly some way ahead of the rest. For kl round would includr Lambert. Beyond that, Lawson is the in form rider so would use him, or if Nichols unavailable. -
Speedway World Cup Team Gb Squad

Hard to argue with that squad. -
why buy a dishwasher if jacques is happy doing them for him? Id be saving the cash for self defence lessons if oldass was coming down to sort me out...

I'm a traditionalist too, but you could argue that in some ways this format is fairer in that a rider who wins 4 heats but has an EF or controversial exclusion in the other can still win the title. Anyone think the 82 world final would have been interesting if carter and penhall had to meet again in a final?
-
tbf howarth "beat" lambert twice in the final after the first attempt was halted when he was leading. And if you include the final they scored 17 apiece.if there is ti be a final i'd rather the points be added to the heat scores to determine the champ, with a tie being decided either by who finished higher in the final (in this case howarth would still be champ) or by a run off.

but the question wasn't "why is bomber in the series?"It was "why is he underprepared again?" a lot of people have jumped into this thread without reading the op it seems.
