Who Was Best, Louis Senior Or Louis Junior?
waiheke1 replied to Terry's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Phil was probably on a par with, or a little below the louis's (I'd tend towards the latter). Jason though is one of the top ten of all time IMHO, so as a partnership I'd definitely give the crumps the edge. Most closely matched brothers - the Grahames? Boococks? Morans? -

Surely there is no question which crump was better? -
Anywhere I can view the interview?

Scrap The Controversial Heat 10 Rule!
waiheke1 replied to heathen chemistry's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I dont believe you get a refund if u go to the cricket and there is a result under the DL system. And i think you can get a result with only 40% of the match completed? Sports with a propensity for being affected by weather need to have such rules in place The issue in speedway isn't the rule its the way it is enforced. -
The heat 10 rule isn't the issue. The issue is the way it is applied by weak officials who lack the balls to call off a meeting after 8 or 9 heats, or having deemed a track safe stick to that decision beyond heat 10. Pearson banging on on sky about getting to heat 10 hardly helps. Warsaw was another example where weak and incompetent officiating was the chief issue (note not comparing Warsaw track to this one)
-
Of course in the 80s there were no refunds if it went past heat 6...
-
OK you can do division. So the question is why do you think 45/6 is relevant to averages, despite the numerous posters pointing out the reasons this is irrelevant? Passed basic maths, failed applied maths and literacy?
-
What is 84 divided by 9.3? That is an equally relevant calculation.

Are you starman in disguise? I think the penny will drop around the same time jerran hart gets released

Top 3 of zmarzlik pp and bech?

Tbh almost all the number ones have struggled this season. Have to wonder if they have decided its not worth investing in top quality bikes for the el? Allied with the race format meaning the odd shocker is always possible. Is Doyle the only number one not to come under criticism this season? Would add that I can't see how anyone could criticise Pk for his performance here. Steve brum - just like last year, getting carried away by early season results. If you sign ward though I reckon you could make the play offs.

Davy watt will score fine once he drops down to second string again

If Pk is still under 7 surely wolves would be keen also?

2015 Speedway Gp Challange
waiheke1 replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Would like to see three from baby pawlicki, v aculik, Harris, lindback And killer get through. -
And any Brit with aspirations of being gp quality would have to leave the UK,as the standard would be far too low. And tracks would close due to declining revenues The solution is to improve the product, not worsen it. And that means improving the whole package. Edit. This is response to we post, didn't want to quote the whole thing

Tampere Gp

We sees no benefit in getting 40k+ fans in. He'd rather see 12k attend at belle vue as that would be better for the sport.... -
Tbh the Shawn Moran one is different in that the authorities had known for months about the failed test, yet allowed him to compete in a subsequent qualification round and then the final. Still a mystifying decision. Edit. Actually not so different, the authorities knew for years about lance Armstrong but turned a blind eye.

Maybe someone forgot that it needed to be stored in a pyramid shape? -
What does it say?

Me too. I'd have Luis Suarez back as well. I'd have happily had Kenny carter ride for the aces.Doesn't mean I approve of their behaviour.

Tbh Darcy's average increasing to 9 might be good for all parties Poole can keep their current team, as 9pt average means multiple changes definitely needed Darcy would still be picked up on loan by some other side, giving him a "break' from the Poole environment Whichever side picks him up would surely get extra fans on the gate Darcy's average is likely to go down, which helps Poole next year Poole fans will realise that the anti darcy comments are NOT posted because people are " Poole haters" Its a win for everyone Oh and also for KL, when they get awarded the title

They've known since February that......I was going to post that......so I'm sure they will just avoid....my post....
