But the euro champs don't pay more,? And the only ones turning down GPS are Emil, and possibly g laguta? I think that's more to do with politics and polish contracts than fim pay rates Times may have changed but surely the ultimate goal is to be world champ?
-
Tbh I'd be surprised if they went out to lose More likely once the meeting was lost a "plan b" of getting troys average below 7? Scb- if he had won his 3rd ride, but then had two lasts (I.e. ridden in heat 15) would his average still have gone below 7?
-
Very puzzling. Who are the top riders missing: Darcy - entirely his fault Emil - entirely his own choice/that of his advisors Lagutas - didn't bother trying to qualify Kildermand - failed to qualify, probably lost out on a 50/50 call vs mjj for wildcard Vaculik - said he wanted a couple of years out of GPS? If your point is money, yes they probably should be paid more. But that didn't stop the world's top riders historically trying to be world champs. We have a qualifying system now which is arguably better than any previous system in terms of ensuring the strongest line up. So in your opinion what are fim doing so wrong?

Are u not familiar with Roberts views on tai? Not a fan is an understatement! -
Hasn't that been the system for some seasons now? All that has changed is it now has an official promoter?

My point was that we had 55000 to see the warsaw debacle. Will have 40kish at cardiff. Even Around 8000 in Prague where racing is notoriously poor. But 7.5k in torun. How many in bydgosh last year?(albeit clashing with women's basketball), both tracks where racing is almost guaranteed to be good. My point was that attendance is barely linked to expected quality of racing, at least as a "standalone" feature.

Can only see a home win unless the lakeside reserves have a shocker
-
Yep superb racing. But did I see an attendance figure of 7500? Shows that fans pay to see speedway in a top notch stadium, not based on quality of racing surface.

Awful in warsaw

Steve brum in WHOOSH shocker, there's a surprise!

About ten posts up? -
I would would start from heat one but skip the gaps between races, wouldn't take long to catch up to "live"Just my preference

Superb meeting, hope those who bemoan modern speedway watch this. Almost every heat had passing and some tough moves. Really hope we see Emil and Darcy back in GPS next year. Killer lindback and the lagutas would all enhance it as well.

Coventry V Leicester 19/6/15

Get rid of Hans then. I'm sure he will struggle to find a team willing to take a chance on him with a 6.4 average. -
Normally agree with your posts, but not here. The main issue in Warsaw was not the track, but the starting gate and poor.weak officials. Vojens was one of the all time great meetings? Not much you could do about the first day rain off. Not an Olsen fan, but we even got good racing in Prague this year.

I'm sure all teams would love one or more heat leaders averaging 8 or more, but (exc bp) there are only 4 riders in the league achieving this. Harris has performed well this season, while it would be madness to ditch Hans now - on that average he would be snapped up!

Didn't this happen to ty about a month ago?Remind me again what criminal convictions Darcy has in the UK? Have you never made a mistake oldass? Hasnt murdered anyone FACT people want him hung im voting ukip stop! Immigration Have you never made a mistake oldass? Hasnt murdered anyone FACT people want him hung im voting ukip stop! Immigration

Kill The Joker

Especially when the TAC sub creates a potential 4 point swing vs 3 for the joker (obviously TAC joker can cause a 7 pt swing). -
Assuming ef were genuine, with it being that close surely with the meeting lost he should have been sent out for heat 15 with instructions to "do a penhall".

Would also havep to add gollob Wilkinson sigalos Lee duggan Huxley and farndon.Nicki may not be as naturally gifted as some of those but he is a three times world champ. In some ways reminds me of Hans who I believe Erik once referred to as racing "like a stock car driver" -
