  3. Actually, only until 81 when Penhall knocked Kenny off (And got excluded) in the 81 overseas final. Kenny said exactly what he thought!
  4. Shaun Moran, Kelly Moran, Bruce Penhall, Sam Ermolenko, John "cowboy" Cook, lance king, Mike faria, Bobby ott, gino manzares, Steve Lucero, Scott autrey
  5. It's when you use a different user name to debate,/answer questions you posted 5 minutes ago that you should be worried!
  6. hi anyone (dave allan?) able to provide heat details for: aces vs Ipswich 21 june aces v wolves 5 july aces v cradley 18 October vx Oxford and v Sheffield 19 July v Bradford 12 July recently acquired a bunch of programmes, but either not filled in, or filled in with mismatches between heat details and scorecards thanks in advance
  7. So if the father had the same name as the son, and the father sponsored the son, does that mean Gustix was right?
  8. Hi Anyone have heat details for this please. Thanks
  9. Tbf, winning the commonwealth games is as big as winning world championships in netball
  10. 84 American final i believe. Tried a comeback for a few meetings in 85 then quit. Going on to become a powerboating(?) World champion iirc.
  11. Why? When it's about the British league? And the footage of pre-war riders in any case would be quite limited. Definitely a bias towards riders at the latter end of the period, presumably due to better quality footage available. Hamil included despite only riding 1 season in the BL. But someone like Soren Sjosten who was a hl for many years and key member of the great belle vue side is omitted. But then it is "90 stars" no claims it is the best 90. Would be good to hear from someone who buys it if it is worth getting
  12. No-one is missing how the league currently administers contracts. What we are disputing is that the way speedway uses them has any legal basis. Would just take one court case to blow the current mechanism away.
  13. Otherwise their contracts could be terminated...oh hang on, they can be anyway. And what happens again if they aren't being paid per the terms of their contract?
  14. Probably before it runs out, given there is no minimum salary and seems employer can terminate at any time for any reason, so presume rider can too?
  15. And I'm struggling to see how anyone could misread that...
  16. If you don't see the difference between someone selling weed and someone selling crystal meth, seems there is little chance of a sensible discussion...
  17. Well done. Do you also film people exceeding the speed limit and report tradies doing cashjobs?
  18. Fair play, never having smoked or drunk or gambled. But i have a different perspective. I've known alcoholics who are lovely people. People with gambling addictions. I wouldn't class them as scumbags, given that I happen to like a drink but am lucky enough to be able to choose when I drink. I know a number of people who were incredibly nice until they got hooked on Crystal meth - yes obviously not a smart thing to take, but the scumbags to me are those who sell that crsp not the addicts.
  19. I think you don't understand what addiction means if that is what you believe. Perhaps it is theoretically possible to live a life without doing anything which is potentially addictive, but it would be a pretty boring life...
  20. Though that said, maybe he didn't work as hard as Ole and Ivan, and was more reliant on natural ability. Perhaps why Ole's gating improved to world class standard, and PCs remained average (Though he could produce gates when it mattered, 77 final as an example).
  21. To me that's not the main reason. It's that he didn't get close any other season. That even that season he wasn't dominant in other events. To win a GP series requires quality over a number of meetings, but even that season was he the best rider in the world? Was he in the top 3 riders in the world any other season. Where would he rank in riders of the decade? PC was best rider in the world for 2 seasons (imo) and the 3rd best rider of the decade (behind Mauger and Olsen).
