actually, i've never claimed to be an expert, and what the barry butterworth thread did was illustrate your inability to read what people type and instead go off on your own tangent http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=78345 Your posts all seem to fit into three categories: 1. Asking ridiculous questions or making outlandish claims (on a tai woffinden thread asking who is the "he" referring to, is mason wear the rider's name or his sponsor, creating a topic and then asking why it would interest you, mike bast is one of the top 20 riders of all time) 2. saying that a thread is in the wrong place 3. Playing the "poor me" card The thing is, most of us don't know you personally, so we are judging you based on your posts, there is nothing personal. It's just that rather than sharing ypour knowledge, you post a load of rubbish. If I compare that to Norbold, who most of us also don't know personally - I learn a huge amount from Norbold's posts, and you can debate things with him. I don't recall anyone ever having a go at Norbold, as he posts in an intelligent and respectful manner and i think he is appreciated by all for his contribution to the forum. Anyway, suggest we all ignore the trolling and let this thread get back to being about pie'n'mash, prefabs and Norbold's hole... oh, and I look forward to ordering and having a read of the kindle version, not normally my type of book but this thread has sparked my interest (does the book also reveal the secret story of Norbold's hole?)

Belle Vue V Poole - 29 June, 2015
waiheke1 replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If zagar scores double digits aces by six. If zagar has a mare, poole to win. Pretty evenly matched, though would hope fricke should comfortably outscore gimolski to make the difference -
Do "they" know gustix though? Is john hyam your name or the name of your sponsor?

2015 Speedway Gp Challange
waiheke1 replied to OveFundinFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Who do we think will be the wildcard s for the challenge? Zmarzlik and ward? Emil? Of those confirmed would be happy to see Harris lindback and baby pawlicki go through. Ward Emil hampel and killer as wc. Top 8 of tai Nicki Greg puk zagar holder magic and aj? -
Pre world war there were only 3 world finals, and no multi-time world champs. The majority of most people's top 20 would consist of riders with two or more crowns. And of course events such as world pairs, wtc/wc, blrc are more recent phenomenons with results readily accessible .And of course, which is probably your point, there is a natural bias towards riders we have seen racing ourselves. Of my list of 20 I'd say there are around 15 names which would be pretty much unanimous. But others such as gollob, michanek,Lee etc. could easily be replaced by riders from earlier years by those with a better knowledge than I of those eras. Norbold - when the "who would have won GPS had they been in place" discussion was had on this forum, do you recall who were identified as being likely multi world champs? Recall duggan was but not sure about the war years and earlier?
-
Norbold - I think the ones who won world champs post war are "safe" as the world championship is really the barometer of success. So I think the likes of fundin should remain safe, just as say pele will always remain on the list of football greats. And certainly those from 70s on should have no issues, as decent video footage exists.

Anyone else's irony meter just explode? -
My 20 would be (not in order): Briggs mauger Moore Collins Lee craven funding michanek knuttson t Rick Hancock penhall gollob Nielsen gundersen Olsen n pedersen j crump young duggan
-
T Rick and crump would be top 10. Greg Nicki and gollob top 20. If tai wins this year I'd add him to the list.

No real desire to get rid of josh, but if you could get Hans or bjerre on the same average it would be a mo brainer. Won't happen I know -

If hans's average drops to say 6.5, could the aces fit him in to replace josh g? Given that bees fans don't want him? -

It's the case almost every meeting and has cost the aces points this season. -

Call yourself a proud Brit, what about harris? Or does his nickname make you think he,s joined the "dark side"? -
I rate crump, though never saw him in his prime.82 I would say he was behind Hans Eric Carter l Collins jessup sigalos plus the USA wtc team. Prob alongside the likes of Morton Anderson etc. Round Hyde rd in the 80s he wasn't a standout. Never made the podium in blrc, though managed a second in the 84 overseas final. He wasn't a rider you feared, unlike Carter gundersen or nielsenn, or even penhall ors Moran. I'm sure in the 70s his record round Hyde rd would be much better. So clearly he is a Swindon and Australian legend and a very good rider. But for me not an all time great, which Darcy has the potential to be (or he may end up a kelly Moran, without the reputation for being a lovely bloke)
-
Maybe he had a purple patch, but pretty sure in 82 he wasn't in the top half dozen in the averages over the season I agree though his world championship record does not reflect his quality, certainly in the 80s he bowed out in the Aussie final when he was one of their two world class riders
-
No way was crump even one of the top 10 riders in the world in 82.In 76 he made the podium due to a mauger ef, and in a field missing the reigning champ. A legend no doubt, and under a gp system he would surely have picked up a top 3 finish in 75. But ward should certainly achieve more than Phil did imho.
-
You could make a great team of riders that fans have wanted rid of. Tai on 7ish Bjerre on 6.5ish Hans on under 7 next month Cook on 6.3ish Batch on 7. I reckon that team would do OK, even if some ftr riders may have higher averages than them
-
Do you ever post anything constructive, all I've seen are trolling posts abusing other forum members. Even Starry manages a decent post every year or so...

Lakeside V Kings Lynn 19.06.15
waiheke1 replied to tellboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What do you mean lakeside were not notified he was in the race? It was one of his scheduled rides? Either way its not Lakeside's responsibility, his own team manager should have picked it up. Edit. Or was he a r/r? -
If they had pre purchased tickets I'm sure considerably more would have attended regardless of the weather.

Why oh why was worrall not given one of Nielsen's rides? Could be the difference. If we scrape home think we have garritys engine problems to thank. Coventry should have got rid of Hans last week like the "fans" wanted!
