  2. Don't agree entirely. Over a scheduled 4 rides each yes. Because pk will take at least 6 rides, I'd say it's pretty much equal. Of course some will look at pks inevitable double figure score and say you've been strengthened, and ignore how much extra how art would score at reserve, and I would disagree with them also.
  3. Odds on cook and Nicholls seem reasonable. After the lakeside meeting cook would be where my money would land. Hard to see a winner from outside the four favorites, unless it's s worrall Don't see any value on the outsiders in the field
  4. Yes. Leaving out the rider who is likely to be our number one for the next decade makes perfect sense. Why you haven't been made gb manager is second only to why you were never capped as a rider in the list of great speedway injustices of the modern era...
  5. And no way do you need to go into that level of detail. Just explain that if a rider is injured they can be replaced by a rider of equal or lower average from another team.
  6. 😂😂😂😂😂 yes, bates clearly should be in the squad ahead of a rider who is likely to be the greatest brit of all time. Clearly anyone who thinks otherwise knows nothing about speedway😂😂😂😂😂 can't believe nz used to pick Maufer even when he skipped our national champs . Tbf, as the reserve has to be u21, if lambert justifies a place in the top 4 then Ellis or bates may be reserve and tai picked ahead of one of the others. Given that bates has never represented gb in the senior swc not sure your use of the word "drop" is accurate..that's a surprise...
  7. Surely the withdrawal on Thursday strengthened robins, if roscoe has used irr correctly. And his absence clearly strengthened you for this. That said he is clearly carrying an injury. If he does take two weeks off now fair enough..There has to be a point where you say enough is enough and while last night being that point is highly convenient for swindon, I don't think there can be complaints if he now misses meetings for both his team til fit. As a side note, if swindon are serious about making play offs, someone like bjerre as a replacement would make sense and now a good time to do it. Wow, so it's not just tai you save your bile for. Is it anyone who is successful? Can't understand why tai and Doyle haven't engaged you to guide their careers, seeing as how you achieved so much and they so little..
  8. Yes. Bates instead of tai clearly makes that line up better...
  9. With Ellis and bates you have to think we would have been well in the mix for a spot in the final. Looks like ,unsurprisingly, lambert Fricke and Kurtz a notch above the rest of the field.
  10. Even a Friday night on a non gp weekend, as isn't that one of belle vues official race nights?
  11. Would pc have won at Gothenburg in 76 if he had to race Off against simmmo Crump and Maurer? Maybe, but I doubt it if he had gated fourth. Same with say mort at Brandon in 83 up against Lee Carter and Graham.
  12. Put of interest, did puk have to compete in a qualifying meeting the day before a gp to reach the Danish final? Does he already have bikes in Denmark or did he have to ship some there specially?
  13. No I thought if batchs average came down, you would have enough points to swap Kerr for a reserve and be under the limit. But looking at the averages, you are way over 40.5. Can't see how you'd get him in tbh.
  14. Maybe I'm just a traditionalist, but in a one off meeting I'd rather the title was decided by top scorer over 20 heats. If u could do that despite gating badly, you'd deserve to win.
  15. Sincere apologies I somehow got u and bv72 muddled. Both aces fans with a number in your username is my only excuse. My bad.
  16. Agree 100%. No clear favorite, a brand new stadium and super race track. The Brandon finals of 70s and 80s had excellent fields and cut throat competition for qualification spots, but certainly was more a Gaters track than a racers. This should be an excellent meeting.
  17. What I mean is over 20 heats, if u miss the gate you are normally up against only one other title contender and have a better chance of coming from the back to the front. In the one race to decide the title though, the chances of coming past three top riders is pretty low. I have zero stats to back this theory up though!
  18. Surely batchs average must keep coming down on current form? How many does Kerr not fit by?
  19. Agreed. But the fact roscoe was allowed to use reserves indicates the ref must have deemed the injury to be sustained during the meeting and hence irr must also gave been available.I guess most riders race with some level of injury being carried, so guess it's a tough one to establish whether the cause of a rider being unable to complete his rides occurred during or before the meeting.
  20. Predict people will say he is in vintage for when help is at reserve and 2nd string, then say he is past it when he struggles as a hl. Predict people will say he is in vintage form when he is at reserve and 2nd string, then say he is past it when he struggles as a hl.
  21. Because I had issues downloading the file on my phone so couldn't check the rules. But someone has quoted it elsewhere, and agree it is quite clear. It's because the whole point of the hl list should have been to make sure teams couldn't lead up on riders with artificially low averages and ensure riders with artificially high averages were still employable.Trying to spread the 24 "top" riders like this achieved very little Imo. Either way, it probably had little impact on team building, Poole as usual built the strongest team, Leicester built a rubbish team, and most of the rest found they were a genuine heat leader caliber ruder shirt as there simply were not enough interested in riding in Britain. And the three hl rule lasting only to may made it a farce anyway.
  22. On paper the aces should get close to 60, but they gave been a mixed bunch this season so it could end up being close. Interested to see how Bridger goes. I'll go 53-39 to the aces. More track time for the aces brits ahead of the British final can only help them.
  23. Yes. But Gordon pairman's post tbh showed he failed to fully understand the issue either Imo. Regardless of who jon cooks comments were aimed at, the logic used for the list and rules around the list were fundamentally flawed, and to accuse people criticizing the list or process of being thick was hypocritical in the extreme. Aces51 - have u been as vocal when people accuse Greg Hancock or hampel as being boring? Fwiw I'm not sure I consider any rider boring on track, but see nothing offensive about people saying they do - particularly in this case where it was clearly at least partly tongue in cheek.
  24. Nothing in those irrelevant rules suggest you can't use the irr facility for an aggravated injury rather than a new injury. So looks like an inexcusable stuff up from rosco. Anyone tweeted him for an explanation?
  25. Pretty sure arnieg checked the regulations and could still be used if rider had had two or fewer rides. Scb can probably confirm?
