  1. Kevin holden was 3 I believe? In 1977.Chris prime, mentioned by others, was 2.
  2. Peter craven in 63? Plenty others if you go further back. If you don't mean just brits you had the likes of Pyatt and Alderton killed on British tracks in the early 80s. Can't post link from my phone but there is an in memoriam website dedicated to speedway deaths.
  3. Tbf KK has been in excellent for this season, so it's an understandable decision. He's also been impressive in his 1 meeting at the new BV track.
  4. Bomber has been fine in the El, whereas in the gps he has been lacking speed for several seasons now.
  5. Yep, they definitely should be paying tens of thousands to advertise this sold out event on TV...next time I need a marketing guru I know who to contact.Good idea about getting some big sponsors though, wonder why they haven't thought if that... Right team picked IMHO. If lambert cook and king get 5 a piece I think they have done a solid job. Then really need woffy to score close to 20. 35 points would likely be enough for 2nd?
  6. Decent meeting, real shame g laguta was missing. Emil showed his class. Thought the ref got every call right. Danes must be strong favorites for the play offs, threw away a ton of points. Milik is great to watch!
  7. Emily safuytinov A laguta Poland (Blue) 2 Patryk Dudek 4 Bartosz Zmarzlik Czech Republic (White) 2 Matej Kus 4 Vaclav Milik Denmark (Yellow) 2 Leon Madsen 4 Niels-Kristian Iversen Round 2 (Vastervik, Sweden) Australia (Red) 1 Chris Holder 4 Jason Doyle USA (Blue) 1 Greg Hancock 4 Ricky wells Germany 2 Kai huckenbeck 4 Martin Smolinski Sweden (Yellow) 1 Antonio Lindback 2 Fredrik Lindgren Thanks
  8. On essence I don't think bees have an issue with woryna per Se. If garrote was at reserve he was on OK signing. But as it was bees needed a 6.5 man who could alternate between hl and 2nd string, not a 4 pt man to alternate between reserve and 2nd string. I'm sure SS would not have been happy had Ford gone with woryna and Newman rather than Kurtz and Pedersen as 2nd strings. I too think woryna has talent and clearly puts in the effort, but he's symptomatic of the poor way the team was assembled.
  9. 84. Both of them exciting riders to watch, though neither of the caliber of Lee.
  10. OK so if it was a genuine mistake, why is Ford mentioning that he would have appealed if you didn't win? As you said, you'd be pretty thick to appeal on the basis that you made a mistake!
  11. See even you get it.So: 1. Why did Ford try to cheat 2. Why is he saying he would appeal? You'd be thick to do that if you knew there was no basis wouldn't you 3. Why are people mentioning that Poole only found at 2.41 that they couldn't use Wright? As you say, only thick people didn't know that already. Middlo and Ford - thicker than starman, in starmans own words. Will keep an eye out for u for vacancies at other tracks...
  12. So Poole knew they couldn't use Wright but booked him anyway. Maybe they should have been able to use Jake Allen, though they have made such a balls up of drafting most rules that it is quite possible the rules were intended to permit only a brit Pl 6 pointer, but didn't state this. Doesn't excuse the attempt to cheat by using Wright. If there was any possibility it was legit to use him, Poole would gave done so, as even if his pts were deducted he would have taken some points from lakeside.
  13. Really? So he still thinks he should have had a facility for a rider racing grass track? Could he point us in the direction of where that is in the rule book?
  14. Awful meeting, though it was my first trip to see an overseas meeting so have fond memories of it. Egon was immense.
  15. Good race for sure. I know briggo suggested that maybe pc wasn't as hard as other great world champs, but certainly showed egon no mercy. How about putting all these links on one thread, rather than a separate thread for each?
  16. You are right I would laugh if you were saying Starke is a better rider in the UK than Harris at the moment.
  17. Have to disagree. The last 10 months we've been living away from the beach, and in summer really missed taking the kids for a boogie board every evening when I got home from work. And when the office closes for summer, working from home is nowhere near as nice as taking the laptop to the beach and working from there. Hope very much to be back living near the beach in time for this coming summer.
  18. I think that must be the first time I've seen bwitcher labeled a sycophant! Surprised we haven't had twk riding in on his noble steed to his defence, as seems to me he is being "ganged up on" by Steve Roberts, Sid, Hodgy and Starman...
  19. Anyone ever seen Sidney and b Witcher in the same room? Pretty sure they are the same poster.FACT
  20. Neither Ellis nor bates are likely to do any overtaking in the swc final. I think you go with whoever is most likely to get out of the gate sharply, on current for I'd say that's Bates. But reality is neither (hopefully) will need to ride in the final.
  21. I'd take speedibee as a reliable source here. And that would make 72 Robert's age rather than year of birth as had been assumed. Amazing someone so lacking in the brains department has made it to that age. Be very interesting to know which world champs he beat racing a handful of nl meetings. And would love to see evidence of the posts he claims to have made denying he was rob homer as I certainly don't recall any. So many liars.Sidney is SPARTACUS! FACT! I am Gladiator on Monday Wednesday and Friday. I am Barry Butterworth on Tuesday Thursday and Sunday. On Saturdays my girlfriend is sopping wet in Leicester.
  22. Looked on the aussie immigration website. Had tai applied to be a citizen when he was living there as a teenager I think he qualified. Now though looks like he would need to live there for 4 years. Doesn't qualify via parents as they were not aussie citizens when he was born.
