  1. am pretty sure they could use a guest until their last match of the season, even if he had been injured in their first match of the season, depending on his position within the team averagewise.
  2. What about the new rules that aren't in the book yet, do they just leave that bit blank ?
  3. sure someone would know the stats, dunno why you would think it would go down, as it rose from his starting average.
  4. What about the unwritten rule, 'let's just see what we can get away with'
  5. You would also need a decent 'run-off' area, preferably below track level, to accept the collective rain water.
  6. I wasn't referring to last night btw, wasn't there and suppose its down to the referee, but the example/reason/excuse I used has been used before.
  7. Heard before, that the leading rider was approaching his 3rd lap, (bend 4 lap 2),,, so race awarded.
  8. What about boiler suits, they might help to keep the kevlars clean,,, would you need to have owa-raals with the sponsors on ?
  9. Probly not these day's. If it was do-able it might work ok.
  10. Aarnio would only be able to guest for Worrall or Wethers.
  11. A think so, if he fits without the 5% hike for the home fixtures and, he's willing and able.
  12. I would think that you could purchase enough materials to cover the track for less than £4000, you would then need to build/put it together,,, then find a team of dedicated (die-hards) bodies to be available when needed, if you've got all that, then your part of the way there
  13. Yeah, but this isn't football or cricket and speedway isn't sending people to the moon,,, I agree that it's not rocket science either, but getting half a dozen dedicated bodies to complete the task is entering another universe ps. A dog track has a different reason to be covered.
  14. No, the 8 day rule only applies to a 'specific' track, a guest could guest for a team every day of the week as long as he doesn't ride at the same track within 8 days and, of course if he fits. Something like that anyway, but am sure Dr. Watson will be along to try and clarify it, if need be.
  15. Neil, did you write the rule book, or make the rules up ?
  16. Maybe the club could employ a team, on a 24/7 (144 hrs), for call-outs minimum wage contract ?
  17. but Lawson could guest at Newcastle on the Sunday ?
  18. In some cases track covers would work, but it's not just about paying out for it first. I get you, when you say it would pay for itself and/or could save a lot of meetings and money wasted. If you haven't got 24/7 access and a dedicated team of, say 6 volunteers with 24/7 availability then problems will arise. Cos you never know when its gonna rain, or stop.
  19. Does anyone know who's guesting for the Diamonds ?
