  1. That might be the only way it will work, if there isn't the same amount of teams per group.
  2. Aye, a bet there's a couple of penny blacks under there too
  3. They might want to wait until they know who'll be taking part first. A suppose they could do a quick reccy and if someone does drop out, they could give them to someone else who might want to take part
  4. Or even 4 or 5 southern teams doing it. They shouldn't mess around with the fundamental rules of a league tho Would it have not been possible to give all teams 2 home and 2 away fixtures (22 meetings) and scrap the CS ? and BTW, a noticed you didn't say '6 northern teams',,, do you know something and not wanting to say?
  5. I agree(just about), although I think 'enotian' does have a valid point/s. I don't think it right to guarantee 3 teams from each section of qualification. However if a team decides not to run, might it upset the balance of teams per section which will lead to further problems.
  6. Is there also a possibility of other local fixtures in the CS, or did I not read the statement right?
  7. Narrow minded??? Unable to think outside the box???
  8. With the new league format giving a team 16 home league matches, at least 1 koc and at least 2 CS. I wonder if it could be a carrot for negotiating with landlords?... More fixtures would bring more continuity for fans also, which might help. With the 'extension' and being a Sunday track, the promotion are probly on the back foot from the start, so as far as building a team is concerned, were probly unlikely to attract any 'top' riders. Unless we can catch one on the way down of course.
  9. Not sure but Dave might have pressed the wrong number.
  10. Yeah, and also, Rough Park gives the throttle jockeys a challenge
  11. That might depend on, whether or not you believe them.
  12. 'IF' Newcastle are thinking about NL, would they have to be accepted first, at the NL AGM later in the month?
  13. Yes but maybe that's why the post office is still open? It's only a pound, but that's not the point, it's about principle. In some folks minds, less means less.
  14. That's fine and, am sure your not alone. I would give it a go, if it was the only option available. Sometimes you've gotta smash it all to bits before you get it right A think the problem we have is the fact that the track is not fully available and, the rent of course.
  15. If Danny's inclusion was the difference between, running or not, would you be happy?
  16. Don't think your making it up, think it has changed recently.
  17. Suppose it's a bit like learning to drive a car, its quite easy in an empty supermarket car park on a Sunday evening. It all changes when you get on the real roads
  18. If we where planning to go NL, wouldn't have there been a discussion with fans about it first?,,, 'maybe there was'. I would have thought that discussions with sponsors etc. would have taken place too. 'IF' there is to be no more Newcastle, I feel a little bit saddened that it wasn't able to be announced by George at the last meeting. It's been their life for so long. A know everyone might have went home crying, but at least we wouldn't have had so much crap about the 'Charles Wright decision'.
