  1. Once upon a time, it would've been an honour to be a 'Diamonds' no.1,,, things change. For whatever reason?
  2. If you had a view of the crowd from the back straight, you might've thought differently. Lots more grey on show and, am not talking about hair, just concrete.
  3. 'IF' there was a crowd of 800 fans regularly, (including children),,, things may have panned out differently?
  4. See? Some can see and, many can't see,,, Agree!
  5. What's the point of a website, if the place isn't actually up and running? Am not into 'tech' that much, so how do you keep everyone 'in the loop'?
  6. A social 'get-together' would be a good starting point IMO. Getting folk together could be another problem?
  7. Didn't the supporters association/NSSG try and organise a memories night, but even that got ditched through lack of interest?
  8. Well,,, what about a 1000 people putting up £100?
  9. 'Ambition is Critical',,, would be great to see speedway back, but IMO,,, as a city centre sport in Newcastle, its not looking good. If a new site/track is required, it needs a 'driver' to get it there. Pulling folk together is gonna be a big hurdle, (previous folk have tried),,, If someone can generate the momentum, al be in.
  10. It's not beyond the the realms of possibility, but could be way outside the laws of probability?
  11. Dunno, but maybe the speedway fraternity can get together and 'out bid' they're piddily offer?
  12. Aye, well we need more houses for folk to live,,, before long they'll be moving into the countryside?
  13. Aye, am inclined to agree with you there, it might need one or two more than 99,,, but someone might win squillions on the lottery?
  14. It was probably around the Tyne Bridge area,,, maybe waiting to jump off?
  15. On another sad note and mainly for the older generation of fans. I would like to mention the sad passing of Jim Rickerby, after a long battle with illness. A fan of the Diamonds from the 70’s onward. Attended his last meeting in 2011 but was always a follower of the Diamonds. If anyone can remember travelling on the supporters bus during the Ian Thomas era, Jim was probably driving.
