I have,,, but it does'nt make it more entertaining, IMO,,, its still general bollocks, lol and perhaps, in a way, ENTERTAINMENT is a bit of a dirty word these days, as a lot of things that people enjoyed in the days gone by have came up against the 'H+S' regime and are'nt allowed to go on anymore,,, I remember at the speedway, a man that would climb up onto a platform, set himself on fire then jump into a huge tank of burning petrol or summit, that's entertainment :-),,, but dunno if anyone could afford the insurance premium for that to go on anymore,,, but thats for a different thread,,,

if the crowd make the noise, there should'nt be a problem, just cheering n that,,, the presenters could mabye get a few old CD's, (like Now 1 or something) ,,, any music post 1970 would help, IMO I've got loads of old ones in the garden, (they help keep the cats out)

so, in them days, the same general colours meant that the race jackets/bibs or even long flailing neckercheifs of various colours were, maybe more important,,, but now, since real colour has been invented, some things change :-(,,, there is maybe too much colour these days n maybe it needs toning down a bit, a dunno,,,, anyway, that reminds me, I must remember to upgrade next time I get me TV licence, lol

it would be like when at school and it was 'PE or games', and all the council lot turned up in whatever sportswear was clean or had been handed down to them, but not of a uniform style,,, you would get red or yellow bib's, so professional looking, much better than these days when all kids wear the same gear,,, a dunno how they know who to pass to, lol

I do enjoy reading your posts, (usually anyway),,, but where would speedway be without sponsorship ???,,, in this day all sorts of stuff needs outside cash to fund things, take television for example,,, apart from the BBC, all other channels use sponsorship/adverts to fund them :-(,,, one solution could be,,, charge everyone that has access to speedway a 'licence fee', wether they use it or not, and run speedway like the BBC, (and we all know how good it could be),,, lol

I do think the team kevlars is a better idea,,, it helps riders aswell, recognising their partner,,, I do hear what you say about individual's leathers/kevlars helping youngsters reconising different riders, but their number and helmet cover is there for that,,, maybe youngsters should pay more attention to those details, instead of just chatting to their mates, or texting in stuff, lol

yeah,,, cos the club is trying to encourage new fans, seeing that would be enough to put anyone off :-P the new fence looks really nice,,, wonda who will be first to try it out ???,,, probly one of the workington mob,,,

a dunno,,, would probly be the flashing light that did it for me :-( I once moved into a flat above a family that cooked a lot of curry,,, it stunk 24/7, and I did get sick of the smell,,, the ironic thing is, I actually like curry and still do,,, but I did eventually move on

a dunno,,, how much is enough to alter the track length,,, I would assume that track's are measured from the inside line, so taking it in would make the inner circle more of an inner circle, and vice versa,,, I would like better racing too,,, I don't record heat times either, a don't even fill the programme in, lol anyway glad to hear that things are going well

does that mean that the track is shorter ??? and whoever wins the first race will be the 'new track record' holder,,, (if somewhat briefly) :-)

I see what your saying, but in a democratic society, why should 1 or 2 people's voices be heared over 100's of others ?,,, put it to a vote and the biggest gang should win,,, if it does'nt, get a bigger gang, lol

well,,, that will safeguard their jobs for a while, and all of those compensation grabbers, has anyone ever thought that this is causing a 'black hole' in the economy,,, maybe it's time to teach this subject at schools, 'how to make money from moaning about stuff',,, seems the only way forward these days,,, anyway I'd better see how my PPI claim is doing, and how much is really waiting, (with my name on it),,, for the accident I can't even remember having,,, must of got amneasia,(can't mind how to spell it) ,,, it all end in tears :-(

agree,,, so I'd be suprised if they were'nt to know about any noise in the area before they got there,,, so why would they moan about a few piddly speedway bikes pootling around on a Sunday afternoon, or whenever,,, their probly just after a free season ticket or summit, (a dunno why like),,, they could probly just watch it from their window, :-)

if people don't have a problem with the US airbase,,, maybe they are American's, or even maybe have an interest in the going's on there, am sure there is lots of people around the world that might want to know what goes on, in a forces air base,,, and living by one would suggest that you could have much to tell,,, a dunno
