  1. far too simple idea can't see a rider being deducted a point for 'none attempt', as who could judge that, the crowd ???
  2. NO,,, most don't even bother so, really the TR/TS/Double points don't make much difference ?If maybe the rule was 'off' the 15 mt handicap, it would make for better races, encourage 'team riding' and, give fans a bit more ? Has this sort of thing ever been tried ? oh! and it would actually be free (apart from chalk) to implement.
  3. oops, sorry that was meant to be a PM, damn sausage fingers.
  4. if the 'BLACK AND WHITE' helmet was changed to 'red and white' I bet you would go, its just cos of your hatred of 'all things north of the river' ,,, you constantly put speedway down with your rumblings and never have anything good good to say about it, unless it was 'pre-war',,, hmmm
  5. PLEASE,,, don't try and encourage him
  6. What % of final match results have been influenced by double points, and does it make a significant difference ? or what about double points/tack ride/tack sub going from the 15 mt handicap ? and, you only get double ponts if you win and any team can use it anytime and as often as they like ?
  7. bit of a bummer for 'concessions' at a NL match, unless they pretend to be under 60 but, obviously far too much 'common' involved,,,
  8. after the 1st league match of the season, albeit a tricky little affair at Glasgow, we score 42pts in deafeat, (the 1st 1 of the season) and the writings on the wall already, or so it seems
  9. maybe they 'appear' to be poor, but really just a bit thrifty that could be 'Dave', if he's not swanning around in his yatch,,, he has a flash motor (TOP 634R)
  10. thats why I said 'a single race night, for ALL leagues',,, lets just 'say' Saturday evening, where riders could be in 1 place at a time, therefore not being able to double up etc. Riders may need the extra income to pay for machinery costs, but not every rider could afford it. The GP series might have had a very negative effect on speedway as a whole, big earning stars can maybe afford to have the best gear, but not all riders would make that grade, so maybe there needs to be a less expensive way to make it pay for them just snip the wire at the back of the box, tell her its all gone digital and give her a nice shiny device and she'll have to practise with it. Do it on a birthday or something, killing 2 birds etc.
  11. a single race night, for all leagues gets rid of double ups, guests and all the other things that people dislike and would probly get rid of some clubs aswell. It makes sense in theory, but not sure what night would work ? (Bunkem)
  12. going to 1 or 2 nights might make it work for some, but not others, therefore making it unworkable.
  13. Just get rid of greyhound racing, how boring is it and its not even a real rabbit,,, far better watching dogs chase cats over some gardens
  14. have to agree, he definitely put me off speedway a bit
  15. a thought some-one would 'do the stats',,, it was all a bit vague, from inside me pram don't suppose you know what the matches were (apart from Boston) ???
  16. dunno,,, but am lead to believe that he only dropped 1 pt all season at Brough, only beaten by Chris Turner of Ellesmere Port.
  17. in 1976, Tom had 9 full + 7 paid and Joe 28 full,,, they must have co-incided on occasions.
  18. am not complaining about them, and know the sport struggles to attrack youngsters a wonder if theres a link
  19. don't old folk(most of), just moan anyway, gives them something to do
  20. a lot of fans do get there really early, is it to get in before the car park attendant and save their quid, or maybe they don't lose their space/seat ??? so surely, those folk wouldn't have a valid cause to complain
