so thats a couple of weeks away yet, so in the meantime folk can get on with their preperations for the big fella coming down the chimney ,,, or come up with some 'good' ideas to save the Diamonds.
Back in the olden days, when speedway was second only to football,,, lets say the 70's. How did the averages work for team building etc.
and what about limits if there was any ?
I seem to remember the Diamonds crashing thru a paper 'under 50' banner, (or something like that) in the early 80's.
In a perfect world the limit would be 42.00,,, but its probly unlikely for all teams to build to exactly that, so the little bit extra gives them a chance. The 40.00 limit forced teams to build under strength teams, therefore falsifying averages.
Not a bad looking side, maybe a bit weak at resevre, or is that where the improvement comes from ?
A think Summers is past his best and inconsistent and Rose never see's a season out unfortunately.
you could try starting a new topic, taking over from this one but,,,
the negativity will turn up sooner or later.
you could call it, ' has anyone got any 'good' ideas to help Newcastle Speedway 2018
is it that simple tho, given that its probly dirty money anyway ?if a bank robber is mugged in the street as he comes out the bank with the loot, he is not really in the right place to complain, (although some might try).
he must have one of those sense's of humour,,, I remember just after Lewis Kerr had the accident when he left one of his fingers in his gloves,,, he played 'turning japanese', which I thought Lewis wasn't and probly wouldn't have been for some time.
A couldn't see Mike opening his copper jar to save the Diamonds, but maybe if he was guaranteed to sell some of those 'quid bags' that no-one wants, he might be tempted.
