  1. and has always had around a 7pt ave,,, which at least shows some consistency.
  2. is that just in speedway, or life in general ?
  3. I bet you still use a notebook Dave, 'allo, allo, allo'
  4. Just add the 2 new guys averages up, then get rid of whoevers fits best + Rose. If its not Robbo we might have to cover his absence with r/r, as it might be that he is not 1 of our top 3, (which can be covered with a guest, I believe).
  5. Who uses notebooks these days ???,,, there's probly an app for all of that nonsense
  6. The 'set up' thing used to boggle me, but after taliking about it with others, it made more sense. Speedway bikes are only really controlled off the throttle, so varying track conditions play a lot in the throttle response. Why riders get rid of stuff, maybe has something to do with only 'having the best gear',,, much the same as having the latest i-phone, la la la,,, whereas many a wiser person, can make good use out of what they've had for a while and, get their moneys worth. 'Make do and mend',,, but there will come a time when it has do be replaced. Myself, I won't throw a pair of socks out, until I have a hole in both of them
  7. Dunno if its because we have nearly 8.5 to play with to replace Rose, so we'll probly struggle to fill that amount of points, so maybe looking to bring in 2 x 7 point riders,,, and so maybe we have to axe a 5/6 pt man to do it ?
  8. Not trying to have a go at anyone, but surely road racing is about speed and sticking to the road best you can and,,,, you have the use of brakes and a gearbox to help control the bike. Not the same as speedway, where its about grip and slip with only really having a throttle to help control the bike. My brother and friends have their Fireblades and Hanspree bikes, usually out all day on Sundays in the summer, but they wouldn't last long on cinders.
  9. If Heeps had have cleared the track, I wouldn't have bet against Pickering passing 1, or both Diamonds, (he actually nearly did),,, Schlien has almost 2pts on Ludde, but some suggest he should be beating the likes of him at home. I didn't say the decision was wrong, but agreed it was 'a bit harsh'. We were let down in other departments last night, which I think have been 'highlighted'.
  10. Thats something that might have to be sorted out 'in house',,, I can definitely see the new rule creating problems that weren't envisaged.
  11. Surely, that can't be right,,, after all he's all for himself and wouldn't know how to look after his partner A no.1s score last night, Tero still impresses thus far, Ash a bit below par (maybe he's set the bar high so far),,, not impressed with the rest and seemed to give points away. The ht 10 decision gifted us a life-line and luckily we took it.
  12. I would agree there, I know its a new rule,,, but fair enough if its after one lap or two when they've sailed off into the distance, but bend 1/2 lap 1, IMO does look harsh. Hats of to Pickering tho, he give it a good go.
  13. You could look at is as, he only dropped points to Schlien, who is no mug. I think there was other areas of the team that let us down tonight.
  14. If we replace Rose with someone on a 5 point ave. When we have about 8.5 to play with, just highlights the problems we have in attracting riders, but we'll maybe know more t'morro ?
  15. Surely, it wouldn't have been Kennett after previously not wanting to ? and what averages to foreign riders come in on these days ?
  16. Its still early days, but it looks as if Newcastle's woe's don't look as bad as others
  17. No, we should have 2 to 8 and, they should re-print the programmes and other stuff
  18. and a few of same few, don't attend or didn't attend,,, so must have been going by updates or hearsay
  19. Thats not good, do you think he's been riding them too fast ??? one of them was 'back-firing' the other day, and me dog ended up hiding in the shower,,, he was really upset and a don't think he'll ever get over it, a had to take him home :(
  20. WKD,,, you could be right and Lindgren could have a spell at reserve,,, but of the 6 riders we have at present, Lindgren will end the season on a higher average than Robbo, Wethers, Wilko and Tero. I am open to a wager on it
  21. as I mentioned earlier, based on this seasons matches so far, only Ash and Tero are performing to, or above their averages. I agree that Ludde is under performing, as to is Robbo, Wethers, Wilkinson and Rose was. Although the critism of those riders seems non existant. I don't find that strange at all tho, but in my opinion I don't agree with it.
  22. maybe they should have a -5% if away,,, that would make sense.
  23. With Tero riding ok and, if Matty can score above his average, or maintain it, we might be able to squeeze a bit more out of Ash at reserve.
