  1. What has fueled this is the announcement made at the stadium was " Lasse Bjerre had agreed to ride for Somerset as a guest during the week but he has today declined the guest booking " so people have assumed that he refused to ride. Having then spoken to Lasse both his frames are bent from incidents in the Leicester match along with his knee being inflamed. Josh Bates was fenced by Jason Doyle so was struggling & Erik Riss was willing to ride as long as Somerset footed the bill for a new flight home as he would miss his flight plus points money of course . But Somerset were unwilling to do this.
  2. Just to clear things up PP has NOT been released from Torun BUT he has been released from the terms of his contract where it states he has to be availble to practise in Poland on a Saturday. So he will ride at Leicester on Saturdays & fly out Sunday like alot of riders currently do when riding at Leicester.
  3. In that case Andy please accept my apology , this info was fed to me at the first meeting of the season when i asked about the lack of match updates via social media which has stopped.
  4. PR is public relations so he deals with complaints & issues from the BSPA , ACU & the public. The issue is with the facebook & twitter is that this used to be run in house until this season when AP Media took over the website & social media. So now it can take upto 12 hours for things to go live on the website or social media platforms because AP media run around 15 speedway websites along with many other sports websites.
  5. It shows just how little you know because promotion is not Alan Jones job. Press Officer is his job he sends all the match reports to all local & national Radio & newspapers , we are then lucky it they even print the result or mention us on air. But the club are up against it after David Hemsley wanted to charge local radio & newspaper reporters admission fee's to report from matches but the new promotion are working tirelessly to repair those bridges & held positive talks with a midlands radio station who are extremely keen to form a partnership with the club. Alan Jones does 1 hell of alot of stuff for OUR club in the background & he was pivotal in ensuring you have a speedway club to moan about week in week out without him this club would be run by Mick Horton under the Leicester Bee's . The promotion of the sport in the city falls on Dave Darcy & Neil Machin the clue is in the name Promotors .
  6. I have huge fears that the weather will win this one , If Glyn had still been involved i would have been confident he could repair the damage being done to the track by the rain if he gets a clear few hours. But with Terry now in charge i have a total lack in faith in him being able to get a track into a racing condition much like when his son did the track a few years ago.
  7. Difference is this time we won't have a track curator who will get in the tractor & do what Doyle asks
  8. The club could do with people like Chris Popple with his enthusiasm etc but over the years I have heard rumours of fall outs between Chris & key members of staff. the club is clearly going forward under the Bates regime & they are clearing out the people they deem surplus to requirements & the bad apples on that basis I back their decision. Chris Popple nice bloke , poor presenter.
  9. Norrie will 100% not be in charge of team affairs if i was a betting man I would look at someone like Jack Lee or Marc Bates who have both held the position under Damien's ownership at Sheffield.
  10. I believe they will go on a Monday with Danny King @ no 1.
  11. i have no idea who or if anyone else goes the point of my comment is people come & go I am sure there will be other people who don't return like anything when there are takeover's some people decide they do not wish to be part of it under new ownership so they go.
  12. The new promotion seem to be getting some unfair criticism regarding the departure of Glyn. Whilst I have the up most respect for Glyn Taylor, what he did with limited resources & what he had to put up with from DH the fact remains the club has been brought by someone who is a track curator himself in Buster. Ask yourself this If you were a plumber would you pay someone else to come & fix your leaking taps ?? The answer is no you would do it yourself , this is exactly what Buster is doing Kevin is merely a front guy & someone to help out who does not cost because Buster can-not be involved with 2 Premiership clubs . Thank you for everything Glyn as track curator & team manager but i assure you he isn't the last person who won't be returning to BP in 2017.

  14. I understand Leicester are missing Wozniak, Hougaard & Klindt on Saturday while Summers & Lindgren are not keen with the PL KOC final sunday & Monday & potenially play off final on friday for Summers . As it stood both teams were running R/R at no1 while lions struggle for guests to fill 3 & 5
  15. Well Sarah is no longer working there because she has left to have/care for her baby.
