Why were Sky showing Ben Barker as a Coventry Bees rider yesterday evening?
-
Get well soon Havvy!
-
If the Bees riders read this forum, they won't feel like turning out at all. I can't wait for the new season to start and the speculation to stop. Let's hope the boys will surprise everyone (in a positive way).
-
Page 112 and it's still November!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The first match I went to at Brandon in the late 60's was GB v Poland and I'm sure his grandfather was in the Polish team.
-
If Chris Harris thinks highly of the lad who was in his ream in Poland last season, doesn't his recommendation count for something?
-
Oh dear - need to improve my spelling! Definitely exciting - and a great lad, always friendly.
-
Jason Garrity = exiting speedway. Just the good news we need on a Friday to start the weekend
-
It sounds like Big John will have more time to devote to the Bees after he retires. He has been an amazing supporter of the team. How many people must have followed him out the middle of the track over the years? We've only had that pleasure once but it was a memorable experience.
-
Looking forward to heat 14 and 15 out of gate 4 next season. Pleased to see Danny back in 2016.
-
Great news - welcome back Bomber Neil Watson says "He has become one of the most popular riders ever to wear Coventry colours". How do people compare Bomber, in terms of Brandon popularity with the late Nigel Boocock? I would say he is now becoming the modern day equivalent.
-
Can't knock a bloke for trying and whatever else, he's still very popular in the speedway world. A lady in my office adores him (but don't tell her husband!) I hope he will be back with the Bees next year (and so will my 10 year-old granddaughter).
-
Bomber is in the GP's because he's competitive and still feels he can get somewhere.
-
Garrity has provided a lot of the excitement for the Bees over the last 2 seasons. Nice bloke as well and he shares my birthday! I would love to see him back next season.
-
What happened to the list of heat leaders that was announces at the AGM?
-
I agree, nothing would give me greater pleasure in 2016 than to see Garrity make it as solid second string and Sarjeant step up to be a high scoring number 6. Let's hope he gives Nigel and Kelvin something else to talk about rather than his false starts!
-
So much negativity already. If Jason Garrity is in fact signed in the top 5 of the team, is anyone on here actually saying he is not good enough because I for one think he most certainly is!
-
And neatly back to speedway, how many insects does the average rider swallow in 4 laps round Brandon?
-
I thought the fast track was for up and coming riders. Barker and Bridger have been around for ever caught in a sort of twilight zone between PL and EL!
-
Will Ben Barker fall foul of the new BSPA rule "only one Cornish rider per team"? I have not seen anybody mention Danny King in the last few pages. Is he still in the frame for next season?
-
What about having Joonas back?
-
New Rule at the AGM to allow Danny and Joonas to share the no. 3 spot. Joonas from gates 1-3 and Danny from gate 4!

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
JonHWeiner replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I want to point out 2 positives from the Sky coverage of the play-offs: 1) Exciting racing over 30 heats of the final and the semi-finals 2) Full stadiums - nice to see on the TV -
I still have a great photo from April of my granddaughter under the scoreboard at Wimborne Road - Poole 41 Coventry 50. I can look at that on dark winter evenings together with the photo of Kevin Doolan and Hans Andersen getting a 5-1 in heat 1 of the same meeting. I won't forget that great evening, even when the memory of the play-offs have faded!
-
Garrity should still score a load of points at No2, After his performance in the British Final, then I can see him moving up to heat leader very quickly.
