Well this inept apathetic performance was systematic of the Witches season and reads like a dunces school report - little if no effort and can do a great deal better. To think the few fans there had paid their money, got frozen cold, got rained sleeted and hailed on all for the riders to show precious little effort and my god it was a final!!! They all seemed as though they wished they were not there at all, I know I wished I was not. When thinking about next seasons side the commitment shown by this seasons riders should be taken into account and if it is, I can't see that any of these 7 riders are worth a place. There needs to be a huge shake up and with a different mind set because if there is not I can see this tiny crowd being called a large one in the very near future. These are some of the darkest days in the Witches long history and things need to change big time or ???

No sorry to correct you but they scored 21 out of a possible 30 whereas Cook scored a faultless 15 maximum! Its been like this ever since CL did not sign a genuine big hitter when dropping into the inferior premier league. You may well be right about the crowd but I very much doubt the crowd will be any bigger as they have lost interest in watching this mish mash of on the down or hasbeen riders every week and at £15.50 who can blame them???

Agree it was an encouraging performance last night that could be down to riding for next seasons places. Looking at the Newcastle side with Wethers at reserve who always rides well at foxhall and can beat any of our rather much the sameness riders, do you honestly think they are capable of getting a 14 point lead? Dak is the one rider capable of real excitement on the track and will have to get his act together as last nights poor showing will cost us dear if repeated.

Oh! well no humble pie for me then as my realist views were proved to be correct yet again Witches lack of a big hitter cost us any real chance of ever overturning that huge 14 point deficit as Craig Cook scored the easiest 15 point maximum imaginable. Actually the Witches did give it 100% effort but you cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear and the result was never in doubt. Cannot help feeling the same will happen against Newcastle and CL has alot to think about next season if EVER the Witches are going to have any success. Gates are down everywhere by 20% but I fear Witches are down more than that and last nights gate being a final was pathetic. Sky are thinking of pulling the plug on showing elite league speedway if that happens CL can spend more time on getting a more competitive Witches team together with that genuine big-hitter at no1. But the compilation of the team is so important and needs alot of nous and the finger on the button at all times so we will see

It does not just come down to crowd levels how much profit is made by the promotion, there are many other cost saving measures like paying the inferior premier league riders point money which is very much lower than the elite leagues. The programme has risen in price and the £15.50 entrance fee would be little different if in the elite. I heard the point money in the national league was £15 which is disgusting and guess its not much better in the premier league.

Well Iceman when and IF ever the promotion shows what happened to that huge amount of money then I will stop mentioning it along with Kings money, clear now ??? At least I have numerous friends whereas you with your cold demeanour probably have none . Nasty lager??? Are you finding it hard to find something valued to say thats pathetic

Whats wrong with that may I ask its always been the same with riders on loan and always will be??? Unless you are harping back to the days of the great late John Berry when we actually owned all the riders in our fantastic team
