Crump isn’t in the mix so no worries on that score.
-
Lynn’s side last year sucked a lot of my interest away so had totally missed that. Makes total sense now why he’s on our radar. Always happy to hold my hands up when I get things wrong and looks like I have on this one. Totally agree about him being a better prospect than Ryan. Really felt for him because he should never have been put in that position to start with.
-
Actually from checking, I might have been unfair on Thomas. Averaged 5.60 from his 20 meetings with Birmingham last season. That’s pretty respectable and stands up well against the likes of Kemp & Rowe. Sorry Jack
-
Yep, looks that way though I think Worrall (5.51) will start at reserve rather than Kerr (5.73). Depends if that includes the final meeting at Sheffield where Kerr scored 4 from 6 rides. I think it’s a side that should be competitive at home but probably still too many passengers away and weakest rising star of the lot (again).
-
Pickering nailed on for Lynn then.
-
Tried to warn you
-
That’s true, but he was by far the most entertaining visiting rider I saw last season (missed Bewley’s visits). Im guessing the plan is that Kildemand or Lawson will hopefully progress and step up to No 1. But Pickering is a rider I’d happily pay to watch at Lynn.
-
Cook to Sheffield, Pickering to Lynn.
-
Rowe would be incredible as rising star slot as been excellent at Lynn previously. Not sure how Kildemand’s been performing since he was last over here. Last average I can find is 7.10 for Poole in 2018. Well worth a punt on that. Richie is an interesting shout. Has done really well at Lynn previously and pretty consistent away. Kerr at reserve is a big plus. Wouldn't be unhappy watching that side each week.
-
Hopefully someone better than that tbh. Would just be another Ryan Kinsley all over again.
-
Pickering 7.38 (if average on Sheffield thread is correct) Nicol 5.44 (done well at Lynn before and had previously signed but not ridden) Cook 7.05 Jorgensen 6.46 Lawson 7.21 Kerr 5.28 38.82 if I’ve done the 2.5% average reductions correctly.
-
Agree about that. Musielak would have fitted that mould perfectly but they wouldn’t pay what’s required.
-
To be fair, a mate said exactly the same to me. Can’t disagree Don't really see Bjerre coming back to Lynn. Don’t think either he or the club enjoyed it last time round. Think he’d be more likely to go to Peterborough and either MPT or Harris moved to Lynn (not Ostergaard before Flappy starts)

https://www.lynnnews.co.uk/sport/i-know-the-top-five-we-have-got-for-next-season-and-there-w-9227049/ Wonder who Lawson is hinting at here. Josh Pickering is the obvious candidate as he was excellent on both visits. Maybe squeezed out of Sheffield with them going for a top three of Holder, Ellis & Musielak?
-
Certainly what I’ve been told. Played a part in why Cook was released and why Lawson didn’t sign at the start of last season. Guess Cook is running out of options though if he wants to ride in the top league. Sheffield, Ipswich & Peterborough look sorted. Burnt his bridges with Belle Vue promotion by all accounts. Wolves will probably go with most of last year’s side, so that leaves us.
-
Great point, makes a bit more sense now.
-
I’ll 100% trust your judgment on that because the stuff I’d been told about riders moving (Doyle, Riss, Mountain etc) you already knew
-
Pretty sure he’d still do a decent job if fit enough. There aren’t an abundance of heatleaders just waiting for a team spot.
-
Wonder if Iversen could be tempted back and maybe Harris from the Panthers? Certainly got some points to play with, just getting the riders in to fill them. Iversen 7.54 (average from 2019) Kerr 5.54 Lawson 7.18 Jorgensen 5.89 Harris 6.84 Total : 32.99 Leaves 6.01 for last team place. Would be a big plus to have Kerr starting at reserve.
-
Looks like Mountain is off to Sheffield as mentioned above. Really can’t get my head round that one.
-
Ipswich funded by Tru-7 group would be my guess.
-
I’ve heard he’s going the other way in East Anglia. Sure one of us will be right

Sheffield vs King's Lynn 5pm 26/09/21
Speedball replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Embarrassing end to an embarrassing season. 2019 was bad enough but this was right up there with the crap from the mid 80’s Hopefully there was a bit of average reduction going on from Kerr and Jorgensen because if that’s the best they’ve got, it doesn’t bode well for 2022 being much better. -
Panthers v King's Lynn Thursday

And you'll still win -
Don’t think Lawson and Cook are big fans of each other so I doubt Cook will be back next year.
