I imagine if it’s anyone’s cunning plan, it will be Rob Lyon’s. Logical for him to work with riders he knows and trusts. Plus he’ll know the ones who are good for team spirit etc. -

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

They were definitely conversations last season. I'd bloody love it if true. Team building average must be something like 42.00 if that's the case. -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

IF the above rumours are true then I make the averages: Tarasenko 6.94 Iversen 6.64 Lawson 6.41 Harris 6.37 Basso 6.25 Leaves 6.39 if team average is 39:00 again. Solid throughout but would still prefer to see someone like Wojdylo at reserve and the extra points used for a No 1. But is there one available that we can afford and wants to come? If not, then there is certainly strength in depth in this team. Basso at reserve on 6.25 -
King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions

I kind of ruled out Lawson as Phil the Ace had him in at Leicester but just checked his average out. At 6.41 (6.57 - 2.5%) he looks a really good signing, especially when you consider how well he rode at Lynn last year (then again everyone did bar the Lynn riders) Just shows, there a definitely options in the middle order (around 6 - 7 pointers), but we need someone to compete in 13 & 15. Need to learn from last year. -

Harris is one of those who I can’t believe has never ridden for us before considering how much the track suits him. He might be at the tail end of his career but I’d love to see him have a stint with us. Probably wishful thinking as sure a Midlands track would suit him. But I wouldn’t rule it out. -
Congratulations to all at Glasgow. Been so impressed with how the club has improved on and off the track and also the friendliness of the fans. Came up to Glasgow in 2017 and @Gazc went out of his way to help me when he didn't need to. Had a brilliant night there for a derby match vs Edinburgh (Bewley max) and been rooting for you to get the title ever since. The club does so many good things off the track as well, especially social media and community activities.

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
Speedball replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just a wild guess killing time at lunch: Musielak: 8.69 Cook: 6.00 Tarasenko: 6.94 Basso: 6.25 Harris: 6.37 (with 2.5% reduction) Lambert: 4.66 (with 2.5% reduction) Rowe RS Total: 38.91 With apologies to Peterborough fans because I know it's not nice, but just being realistic about the situation. Only way I'd ever see that team though is with Rob Lyon running the show. -

Finding a decent No 1 needs to be a priority. If we can’t keep Lambert, I wonder if Musielak might become free if Sheffield keep the Holder’s and Woffinden as their top 3. He’s very good at Lynn and said on BSN how much he enjoys riding here. -
King's Lynn Vs Belle Vue 24th August
Speedball replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
After an awful season to be a season ticket holder, that felt good. Missed the win vs Wolves so last time I saw Lynn win was in May! Sure if we rode tonight’s meeting 100 times with those line-ups, we’d lose 99 of them, but tonight was that miraculous 1. The reserves were magnificent, not just getting the better of the Aces pairing, but picking up vital points against Brennan and Wright. Robert was simply sensational, rode his nuts off in what was effectively a meaningless meeting. I know it’s unlikely but praying Robert chooses the UK over Sweden in 2024. -
King's Lynn v Ippo 17/08/23

If Peterborough aren't running next year, I would hope that Rob Lyon will be the first signing and heavily invovled in the team building. -
Yes I mentioned him a while back when Buster came in. He's one that Buster has turned to before and is cheaper than to bringing someone else in from overseas.

That will be Ludvig not Freddie judging by how our season is going
-
Well someone is going to be free from Sheffield very soon by the looks of it.

Kings Lynn Stars Vs Peterborough Panthers
Speedball replied to klstarsfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well he supposedly has a wrist injury from a meeting he top scored in. But he's probably on holiday like quite a few of the riders due to SWC. At least Wolves were upfront about their situation. -

Reckon Artem must have hurt his wrist playing tennis with Steve Worrall, Ryan Douglas and Sam Masters Really do treat supporters like mugs. -
Chuffed with this and shows they have one eye on 2024, which must be a positive. Perfect time to bring him in as well. Effectively he can come in with no pressure, get used to UK tracks and get experience in readiness for next season.

I’m expecting Laguta to go and we’ll use guests due to “special dispensation” or “best interests of the sport”. Something of that ilk. Wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Barker replace Thomson to “strengthen” the side. Christ, it’s depressing being a Stars fan at times.

Cheers mate, great time. Not back until Tuesday so that means we’ll win on Monday as well. Back to usual once I return -

I’m in Malta mate, been following from over here. Great win, will do wonders for everyone -
Just listen to the people who are telling you it’s personal reasons and not anything related to speedway, his business or the suchlike. Somethings in life are bigger than sport. Plus for what it’s worth, I believe Buster is honouring the Laguta deal. However I do believe Jakobsen has gone. Will probably be Pickering back in when fit, which I’d say will make us stronger, not weaker. Personally I’m sorry to see Alex leave. Sure he will admit he made mistakes but he’s ambitious and successful in business and wants the Stars to be up there challenging. Hopefully he’ll be back involved when the time is right.
