  1. Chuffed with this and shows they have one eye on 2024, which must be a positive. Perfect time to bring him in as well. Effectively he can come in with no pressure, get used to UK tracks and get experience in readiness for next season.
  2. I’m expecting Laguta to go and we’ll use guests due to “special dispensation” or “best interests of the sport”. Something of that ilk. Wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Barker replace Thomson to “strengthen” the side. Christ, it’s depressing being a Stars fan at times.
  3. What was said please? Currently away on holiday so had to miss last night’s meeting.
  4. Cheers mate, great time. Not back until Tuesday so that means we’ll win on Monday as well. Back to usual once I return
  5. I’m in Malta mate, been following from over here. Great win, will do wonders for everyone
  6. Just listen to the people who are telling you it’s personal reasons and not anything related to speedway, his business or the suchlike. Somethings in life are bigger than sport. Plus for what it’s worth, I believe Buster is honouring the Laguta deal. However I do believe Jakobsen has gone. Will probably be Pickering back in when fit, which I’d say will make us stronger, not weaker. Personally I’m sorry to see Alex leave. Sure he will admit he made mistakes but he’s ambitious and successful in business and wants the Stars to be up there challenging. Hopefully he’ll be back involved when the time is right.
  7. Can’t see Tungate at Lynn as he’s absolutely woeful at the AFA. That said, he’d fit right in with the current middle order
  8. Shame Sheffield are riding at home otherwise I’d have tried to get their whole team to guest in place of our lot Think I’ve seen Sheffield win at the AFA more times in the past two seasons than Lynn
  9. Yes you can. Should be signs at the box office with which queues are cash and cash/card.
  10. Agree it’s not ideal but that’s what happens when you get team building wrong at the start of the season. Cook when he first came did ok, especially when Lambert took on the pressure of being No 1. All started to go wrong when we got team building wrong (again) and starts at No 1. Thing with Cook is he’s great when his head is on it but a nightmare by all accounts when he’s not happy. If he came in at reserve, sure he’d more than hold his own. My real preference would be a 5.00 newcomer like Kvech but really can’t see that happening.
  11. Our injury course strikes again. Getting them sorted early!!
  12. Not sure Connor at reserve is the answer. He didn’t always look very comfortable when riding at the AFA. Craig Cook would be my choice as he’s capable of winning races home and away. Again it all depends on his mindset but if we could get him in at reserve, that would make us stronger than Connor imho.
  13. Wonder if that’s why he attempted to ride last night. Reset’s the 28 day ruling?
  14. The annoying thing is he's actually been our best rider at home this season. When he's good, he's very good. When he's not, well let's just leave it there.....
  15. He’s got a point. Someone on the internet once told me Klindt was a No 1 and I certainly don’t believe that
  16. Peterborough worthy winners last night. We were as poor as feared. Klindt abysmal and Jorgensen not much better after being in the mix in his first ride. KK did at least win a race I guess but looked slow doing so and was pretty much a road block that caused Jakobsen to go into the back of Andersen. Tofty saved the bonus point and was great entertainment. Ben Cook superb for the Panthers. Said after the Leicester v Poole final at Lynn that I’d have been pleased to see him ride for us. He’s impressed me on the two subsequent times I’ve seen him as well. Impressed with Jordan Jenkins who rode well as meeting progressed. Much better than the dross we’re getting served up from supposed 6/7 point riders.
  17. Surely Laguta would be on an 8 point average? If that’s the case, we’d need to make two changes to fit him in (though after last night I’d be happy to make 3). Be delighted if it was him but I’m not getting excited yet.
  18. Don't joke, I think you might be right...................
  19. I think Guy got involved with Lynn the same time as Holder rode for us (probably helped finance the deal as they are friends). As soon as the relationship broke down between Holder and the club, I'm guessing that was the end of that.
  20. That comment about £20K has been totally misconstrued. At the fans night Alex said that KK was spending £20K to get himself setup for the UK (bikes, van, mechanic etc). Said that if he was spending that amount of money, he’d be taking it seriously. It’s not the club who spent £20K on him.
  21. Thought Lynn looked very rusty last night but got the job done. Track very slick due to recent weather. Apparently Jakobsen had been laid up in bed with sickness for the 3 days before the meeting so that explains his quiet night. KK was imperious. Yes we know he’s frustrating but when he’s good, he’s very good. He’d have been a match for anyone in the league last night. Pickering moves to reserve now. We need to make sure we take full advantage of it.
  22. Team being revealed in a supporters meeting at the stadium on Monday December 12th, 7:30pm start. As has been said, if it’s anything other than Klindt, Jorgensen, Pickering, Palm Toft, Kasprzak, Jakobsen & Edwards I’ll be very surprised.
